Not much info out but looks like main difference is it has a extra lead for remote governor gain and rpm out

Let me guess, WAIT.... It's coming to me... I'm seeing it now.... Castle FIXED the reason their ESC's BUST into flames!

I sure wish they would. They do vbar governor and are very affordable. They have one problem. They are EXTREMLY unreliable. Until they fix that NOTHING else matters.

I think it's a bit unfair to say they're EXTREMELY unreliable. Remember we tend to see the issues, not the successes; and Castle have worked hard to fix the known issues.

No, I'm not a fanboy - I fly Kontronik.

True, merely just unreliable.

Did they use the model designation "Edge" because the technology is on the cutting "edge" or if you put one in your Heli you are living on the "edge" ?

Just kidding. I know many fellow pilots running them with success.

I can't say that about my experience. I am running 4 120 Ice2 HVs, and two 160 Ice2 HVs, and one 80 Ice 2 HV, and haven't seen a single issue with any of them. They all program easily, and for my kind of flying, their built in governor works as it should.

All of my units have come from different sources, so I would say I have a pretty good mix. As was said one mostly hears about the ones with problems.

In the 3 years I've been doing this heli thing, I've seen one catch fire. It was a 160 that had not been modded, and it was hooked to the KDE 700 motor. I've watched numerous flyers at a lot of different fun flys run them without a hint of problem.

Just my .02.
