Do some research before making such aridiculous claim

Or if they sit too long or if they just decide to burn on the shelf.

Lipos burn for thousands of reasons....daily.
Now that statment is ridiculous and cannot be backed up with fact.

Also give me a hundred reasons. No fifty reasons.. Nevermind thousands of them.

Lets be real here.

Its all earth!

Is there any way to make a kill switch on a nitro?
We should be able to take an AR15 to the field with us...for just such an occasion.
I'd have put that thing down with one shot.

Give me scientific data..
I don't have scientific data, but it happened to two people I know. They dropped their pack. Hours later, just sitting there, caught fire. I know I know, they shouldn't have dropped them but no-one that looked at them thought they would light up a few hours later.

I take it thats your data?

Lol....whatever buddy
Lipos just dont spontaneously burst into flame without a trigger of some sort. Most are the result of overcharging or lack of knowledge with regard to C rating. Also abuse, puncture, potental short after crash, etc. More likely user induced. A healthy correctly charged cell will not just decide to flame up from sitting to long or just because. I have never seen data to the contrary. If there is, a whole lot of hobby stores better store there stock a lot better..

Its all earth!

Thats a different story

They dropped their pack
That I will agree on.
But a healthy cell just spontaneously igniting, no...

I never claimed it was without an underlying cause.
But packs do go up in flames while sitting in storage.

Who cares why? The house will be rubble no matter what the cause.

Human error may be the cause 100% of the time.
Tell me again...is it not humans who use lipos?

From your statement

I say we agree with that. I took your statement as though you ment a healthy lipo. Yes most are more likely then not user triggered.
Have a good nite McKrackin.

WOW! This thread is all over the place! How did we get from a chicken dance to a Battery burn subject??? Lol....

Seriously though; it just makes good sense to put a return spring on. If your servo is that weak, maybe its time for an upgrade anyway. Of all the things I've ever heard our Friend Ernie come up with, I think in my opinion, this is one of the best.

Maybe give him a little credit, eh? You guys that started immediately shooting it down crack me up. I've been using them for a couple of years now, and they never inhibit the function of my governor. WHY NOT GET A LITTLE BIT OF INSURANCE AND PIECE OF MIND? If it worked like it was supposed to just one time, look at the $$$ it would save you.
