I am installing a flybarless head on my older R50. I noticed that the instructions for the anti-rotation links (same as washout links) specify them in the opposite orientation then I remembered. After inspecting the washout link on my X50,I noticed they were also on backwards. After consulting the manuals, its seems they changed the orientation on the X50 and later models.

See attached picture for the two differences. Is this a typo, or did they decide to do this for a specific reason. I know its kind of an obscure question, but was wondering what others thought.

Can you elaborate Steve?

It has been a Raptor standard for links to go onto the balls with large hole facing onto ball and small hole facing out. The X50 instructions contradict this standard, w.r.t the washout links.

It actually boils down to which side of the washout the threaded hole is on. This ultimately decides which way the control levers face, and thus the washout links.

I guess the question is, why did they change it?

Thats because TT didn't make a washout linkage for the X50, so you are left with using the R50 stuff.
They went through the trouble to make a new washout slider, then didn't bother to redesign the washout links. WTF? -or- They could have at least left the threaded holes in the same spot on the slider so the links would fit on in the correct orientation.

Ok I'll stop beating a dead horse now. thanks for the replies.
