Hi Guys - have a quick question about the total g I just got. Im setting it up with an external receiver and noticed on the total g that the external inputs indicate max 5.5v. I plan on running a life battery (6.6v) but for now Im using an old 4-cell nicad pack to set it up.

I guess what Im getting at is do I really have to regulate my receiver down to that 5.5v? Anyone out there not doing it or how are you setting up an external receiver? Seems like a pain to have to drop the external receiver voltage to make everything work and not destroy the total g.

Thanks,
Angelo

I am running a High Voltage setup on my Rave with the TotalG in External receiver mode.
Run the patch cables as described and then just use a male to male extension between the receiver and the power input on the TotalG. Rember the EXT 1 & EXT2 are signal only from the receiver. Unless you plug power into either EXT connections you are fine.
You can even plug power into the GYRO and Flight Control top connections ensuring that the ground is towards the servo connection side.. These are tied to the power bus of the servos NOT the EXT ports.

Any more ?'s please ask

Kevin
