you can find the 450 pretty cheap, and it comes with cf blades and a metal head block, where the 300 comes with plastic head block and wood blades. right now though, you can get a 300 from hh for 319 with a extra battery so as long as that price stands that may be the better deal. the only reason i would pic the 300 is bc of size, if you want something more for indoor or backyard then i would get the 300.

you aint crashin you aint learnin

I have always found bigger is better and easier to see. So for me I would go 450. But if you are just looking for a better helli and wanna stay small Maybe you should look at the 130x. I love mine.

I own both and they fly great. However, if I only could keep one it would be the 450x. It's a better designed heli (probably Blade's best to date)), has more power on tap, and it's a lot easier to get aftermarket bits for 450's, like blades for example. It also has a one-way bearing so autos are possible (but not probable for most, lol!)

By the time you add a few upgrades to the 300x (CF blades, metal headblock, and frame stiffeners) the total cost is a lot closer. The 450x really does not need any upgrades imho. Maybe metal geared servos like align ds415m cyclics and ds425m tail if you get tired of replacing the stock servo gearsets. Same servo-thing goes for the 300x btw.

Cheers,
TomC

450X !!

I love mine ZERO issues from day one. I have never had an ounce of regret buying this heli. I have shown it no mercy from day one it has about 100 flights on it now. It is without flaw time to replace the head dampeners though. Mine flies so nice and smooth I will cry the first time I crash it. It also has so much power I dont even need to use it all I run a flat 80% curve in IDL2 and a 70% flat curve in IDL1. I get about another minute flight time doing this over 100% curve. I set a 5:30 timer and the packs usually come down with about 20% reserve left. I am thinging of reducing this to 5:15 or even 5 minutes flat. I beat it hard enough the other day that thet pack came down and only had 7% left.

I cant speak for the 300X as I have never flown one but I know you will love the 450X.

For thirty more definatly go new.

ENGAGE!!

Given the two choices you gave I'd go with the 450.
But if it was my decision I'd have you pick up my Raptor 50SE I plan to put up for sale soon.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.
