14sg still not FCC approved?

So it looks like the 14sg still has not been approved by the FCC since nobody has told us yet that it has?

My guess is that mid Feb will change again in about a week or two

And they (SKALUF) told us to get our orders in for Christmas so nobody would be dissapointed!

I wonder if the Obama Regime has anything to do with this delay? Did he do something else that was unconstitutional?

Can someone give me the stock Pack dimensions (please)

*edit ;

It looks like the 8FG uses the same Pack (5-Cell NiMH 1700mAh) can someone confirm this for me, I'm looking into a Lipo alternative and want to be sure (fitment)

The 8FG uses a 6 cell pack for 7.2 volts. The 14SG uses 5 cells for 6volts.

The 14SG is made for a LiFe pack and not a LiPo pack. If you look on hobby king under LiFe pack you will find the size of the pack. Basically it is made of 5 off 4/5 AA cells stood side by side.

What you are quoting is the power requirements for the Receiver R7008SB taken from the manual.

The Power supply for the transmitter however is 6.0 volts again taken from the manual on page 11.

One thing that is a little worrying looking at the internal pictures is the state of some of the hand soldering. The flux looks to still be present and the solder is in great big blobs.

I have one so I may have to take it apart and have a good look.

I bet that was not a production one and also you don't know how they test it at FCC.

I like the link. I never knew that a new transmitter was subject to such testing and scrutiny. I have to admit as an end user I tend to forget about all of the hard work that goes into bringing new and innovative products to consumers. Good work Futaba.
