I have been out of the heli game for 3 years now, I'm looking to start up again as I'm retiring in feb. I have 4 450 v2 helis and one 600 on 5000 6s packs I am not a 3D flier. I just want something that will give me long flights 6+ minutes and are reasonably priced... Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks.

For 3s 450s, I've been happy with Sky lipos. My lhs used to stock them, cheap price too. Since you are sport flying, any cheap 25-30c pack should do it.

FWIW, I've never flown more than 5mins on 3s. Maybe its possible, maybe someone else can advise there. If you go 4s 2200, it's probably doable but for the extra cost you could buy many more lipos.

Also check hobby king or hobby partz.

I use Hyperion 3S 45C 2200ma packs on my 450SE and fly non 3D for 6 minutes using less than half of capacity. If you don't require extreme head speeds, it can be done. Happy retirement, Waco

Glacier packs from EPBuddy have worked well for me and they come with Deans already installed. they run about $20. GensAce also have done well but a little more pricey. for Easy flying I have used Zippy for $17. all of which were 2200mah 3s. good luck and welcome back to the hobby!

If you want the most powerful packs IMO that i have. would be the Haiyin Scorpion packs. I have tried an absolute different amount of batteries and I love these the most! the quality it top notch and the customer support is the absolute best i have ever seen! plus they check there packs twice b4 they leave the factory to make sure every pack that leaves is perfect! they have almost a 98% satisfaction rate!!!

Try hobby king and Turnigy Nano-tech batteries. I use them on 3s, 4s and 6s 450's. My 500 8s and 550 6s also sport nano-techs. My Son's Logo 600 uses a 10s system on twin 5s nano-techs.

I learned how to hover in tight corners in the basement along with slow flight over furniture and tables... Basements are good to learn the basics in....
