Have to say that building this thing has not been fun.

Spacers missing from the head, tail extremely tight (after freezing parts less the grips), and bearings that just suck.

So I got the tail working smoothly (replaced with align) but have an issue with the ball link (plastic part that screws into the carbon fiber control rod). One of the plastic peices just slides over the ball. Easy on/easy off.

Does anyone sell decent control rod ends for this?

Thanks,
H

control rod problems
i have had to complete almost redo most of these parts on my g20. i am not sure exactly what part you are refering to however. if you are talking about the contrl rod from tail servo to tail pitch control arm, mine does not screw in. it is placed over the carbon fiber rod and glued and a screw goes through with a nut on the other side. this is the only century part i have not had a problem with. i also use the stock control arm. the rest however is align. i have an aligh trex 600 v2 slider assembly and all metal hub and rotor assembly. It works great with not mods. I have also intalled an align trex 600 all metal main rotor head and swash plate. if yours is the LT version like mine the trex 600 head fits with no modifications. works great.

Thanks.
The part I'm talking about is that plastic piece that fits over the carbon rob onto the ball. It does not grab the ball. I think it's a $2 part. I ordered 4 of them.

I also converted the tail to Align except the slider. Only concern is that arm that connects to the slider ball. Probably will work, just wish the ball on the slider was longer. With a little force it snaps off fairly easy.

Did you swap the ball the slider?

Again, thanks for the help!

align slider
i changed out the slider as well for the align v2 type. the reason i did this is although you can connect the century version to the align blade grips it does not line up correct. the blade grips from century have no metal extension and are designed for the short ball to mount. the align grips have a much longer mounting arm and is looking for a screw in connector. if you installed the v2 hub and grips you should look at the v2 slider. it will fit right on the g20. the only thing you have to change is the ball on the slider. remove the old short one and install a slightly longer one on the align slider housing. the reason for this is the align unit is shorter by comparision and with a longer ball the ball will fit further down into the control arm.

I'll look into that. Definately have a need for the longer ball...I'll try to track one down today.

Thanks again for the help. It is greatly appreciated.
