Although I have never had a problem with the threaded stud coming out of a carbon rod, I thought I would do something a little special for my newest build. Normally I would JB Weld the stud into the carbon rod and then put a piece of aluminum tubing on the outside to help prevent the tube from splitting. I decided I would make a ferrule for the tail rotor pushrod that is threaded on the end so that the threaded stud would be captured inside the carbon rod and also tied into the outside of the carbon rod via the threaded end. I'll probably glue it all together with Hysol.

Regards,
Rick

Looks nice! I actually had a rod come out of the carbon tube when i was using epoxy. Ever since then I have used JB weld and had no issues.
