I am starting a new scale project. I am going to put together an RCA VH-60 with Trex 600 mechanics. I am also going to use a four blade main rotor with an AR7200BX FBL system.

I would like some input as far as which types of main blades to get. It seems no one has a good set of 4 blades in stock other than some flexible set of blades. So what is a good alternative to scale blades, two sets of FB blades or FBL blades mounted in pairs?

Any input is appreciated!

Thanks

Jz

if youaregoing to use a fbl unit, you can get away with pretty much amy blade. get some that are fairly on the heavy side and go for it. the fbl units will make up for blades that are a less than ideal. i have a century blackhawk which is same in size to the rca fuse and i use 2 pairs of their funkey fiberglass blades 680mm and it does quite well without a stab unit so imagine what a unit will do.

Blades
I was wondering that myself. I bought a set of V-Blades 690mm FB mains for my AS350 I was hoping to use. I figured they might work better as they are heavier than FBL blades. Or am I wrong on this. I just love V-Blades and they way they sound. I think it would sound awesome on my AS350!!

Just call me Farmer Brown. 'Cause I know how to really plant 'em

Doc's spot on. I have flown any old blades (even woodies) with my vbar unit and it doesn't know the difference. I also like the V blades, they have a nice wide chord, give great lift and DO sound great! The FunKey (Century) FG scale blades are nice too. If you want a real scale look, go with the Rotortech scale blade set on your multi head. They have a narrow chord, which looks cool, but they still give good lift. Wait until after the Chinese holidays and there will be more scale blade sets available. They are too busy lighting firecrackers right now...
