I was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing a flashing white blank screen when going back, and forth between pages on RR?

I am using IE9 as my browser. RR has been fine the past few days, but just started doing this today. All other websites seem to be working fine.

I have pm'd Mark about it, and we tried a few things like clearing my internet browser cache, and I also tried a reboot. I'm still having the same problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

It only flashes when waiting on the page I have selected to load. It doesn't do it every time. Most the time when I click on a different page it loads immeditaly. When that happens it does not flash, but if the page for some reason takes a bit to load it starts flashing a blank white screen until the new selected page is loaded. Almost like a stobe light.

I just checked my IE9, and I have the most up to date version.
Just started doing this today. It worked fine last night.

Well Mark sent me a google link. I did some reading, and heres what I found.

I disabled my adobe flash player, and the flashing problem went away. I then enabled it, and the flashing while pages loaded came back.

I went to adobe's site, and updated to the the most recent version, and problem is now solved.

If anyone else has this problem? Check out your flash player, and make sure you have the newest update.

Thanks for the help Mark!

I am having lot's of flashing using IE9. I downloaded the latest Adobe Flash player and it did not help. Disabling Flash in IE9 also did not help. I am ONLY seeing this on RR; none of the other sites I visit have this problem. I also do not see it on RR when I use Safari as the browser. I PM'd Mark and he had no current suggestions. Any ideas?

OK, more info. I re-installed Flash and it tells me the most recent version for my 64bit system is 11.5.502.135. It still gives me lot's of flashing. If I disable Flash and reboot IE9 the problem appears to go away.

Those of you who have had an update cure the problem, what version of Flash did you install???

You may want to try this:

http://computer-help-please.blogspo...flickering.html

It may also be possible that any flickering or DOM flickering you may experience could be a result of hidden html elements and the delay between the page being loaded and the element 'hiding. One way to reduce such flickering is including the following script on problem pages:

(function(){

var node, i;
for (i = window.document.childNodes.length; i-- {
node = window.document.childNodes[i];
if (node.nodeName == 'HTML' {
node.className += ' javascript';
}
}
})();

Sorry to bore you with programming references..... Back to the grind

I'm not saying it will solve your problem, but DO try IE10. It is SO MUCH better than IE9. Specs & Performance wise, it is only second to Chrome 23. IE10 is my new favorite browser.

You must have Windows 7 SP1 (or Windows 8Hate) to be able to download it.

Anybody solve this yet? I still have problems with it, and only on this website. Have had to shift to a different browser for use on this site only. Pain in the neck...what's the fix if you've solved it.

You're having the problem on Chrome? Ugh! I shifted to Chrome to get away from it, and so far I don't have the problem with Chrome. All of my flashing was with IE9.

I like the tools available with Firefox and I don't have too many issues using it. I haven't had any issues here. The major issue I notice is in general if left open it slowly consumes a larger and larger memory foot print. I have to kill the exe every few hours or so.
