SWEEEEET! I didn't know this had been released yet. How is the fuse quality? Door fitment, finish, glass thickness? It looks to have welded landing gear on it. Is it on par with their G-Jive MD500 fuse?

Damn Donnie. You trying to get me killed or beat up severely by Angie?

It looks awesome in the air and that open cabin is begging me to climb in LOL

I fell in love when I saw this fuse at Dalton and told Emile I saw one in my future.

Sooooo. Any release date yet??

Thanks for posting the pics and looking forward to video

This is a prototype to check the fit of the mechanics and interior parts. The production fuselages will have a lot better rivit detail and the paint should be better than the 500. The gear is welded.

Roy
I would hate to cause you to get a beating but it may be worth a small one to get one of these. This thing is really big.

Alright then... I will take one for the team LOL

I remember being impressed by the size and look of it. Actually Angie was also impressed with the fuse and those who know Angie know her next question was "you want it?"

Yep... I can't wait for my birthday to roll in LOL

Thanks for the heads up Donnie I'm glad to hear that it's on par with the g-jive and that the production model will have rivet detail. Cliff has really stepped up the quality of these pre-painted fuses. I really like the doghouse mounted mechs and open cabin area. What mechs is the fuse designed around? I'm guessing a Chaos hybrid designed around Rex700 gear? What is the total length of the fuse?

It has a lot of room for interior details or you can use it to transport your favorite little machine.

There is room for two of them in the cabin.

Looking Good!!!!
I got to see a 429 at Dalton last year but I think that was a 6 or 700 size, but it was still a really nice size.. Donnie can clear that on up..
The 800 size is really looking good and I like the idea of the mechanics disappearing into their correct location... sure is leaving room for all the detail you want to add..
Very nice and looking forward to seeing one of these big guys out this season...

I am running 700mm blades on the 429 now and they are a little too short, I think the production kits will use 800mm blades.

I agree with Stan. I'm really liking this heli. I like the doghouse mounted mechs, molded in steps and all of the molded interior cabin supports and door jams. Just add more rivet detail and this bad boy is a winner!

I am using the same side frames that they use in the 600 size uh-1
I used a 700m1 main gear and stretched an 800 boom and torque tube to fit the fuselage.

Hi Donnie, thanks for the info. I have a set of those shortened frames that came with my RCA 800 size UH1B fuse. I put skyfox mechs in the huey, so I have these laying around.

Did you use the 12mm mainshaft, or just retrofit the gear to the 600 auto hub?

Any idea if RCA is planning to use a similar set up to the one that you put together?

I used a 10mm main shaft and a 600 size pnp head. The production machines will use a little different setup.
