Darrin,

Of course!

You might want to try the Odin II with the 7HV head on it, also.

Warp Drive (but not a Warp)!

not too much sand out here either, the ground is more like a mix of rocks and cement like dirt that's very unforgiving to heli crashs....... lol

Well I will be attending the AMA show this weekend and will probably join then. After that I will be asking Mr. Trainwreckk when he plans to meet me to pay me not to join.
Lets call it a "friendly fee". After all we have so much expendable cash being owners of model helicopters, right? LMFAO...

See you there Scott?

if you don`t like wasting money ( i think you said in earlier post)

don`t bother with the AMA show, it`s a joke as far as helis go.

although there is some nice demo 3 d flying but that not your thing right?

AMA show...
Heli's are not my only interest. You are correct, 3-D is not my thing. I like flying a model as the full size would fly. The grace and beauty of flight is what attracts me to flying.

Breakfast Meet up this sat 9am 1/19
To sign and resign members who want to fly at carson.

I went by the field yesterday and Don , the new prez elect was there.

He will be there on sat.

BTW, Tony who was living at the field has been run off by the police so if that was bothering you it`s no longer a problem.

I'm glad to see the Carson field being talked about. I've driven by and it is a huge asset for the local heli community.

I haven't flown there yet as it's a bit of a drive for me. I do plan to sometime...

What a great event!

Breakfast was wonderful, the people were great, the flying was great!

Did I mention it was great?

I put in four flights on the Atom, four on the 6HV, and two on the 7HV.

So now we pay a membership fee to fund a club AND $58 a year to AMA?
Dude, it's been this way for a long, long time. I've been flying for 30+ years. At a sanctioned club field, unless you were a guest for the first couple of times or something, you always had to be a club member and an AMA member. News flash: those cost money...they always have...

Complaining about everything!
I know this thread is six months old but I'm seeing for the first time. Having read the post My thoughts are "Rainmaker" I hope you never join any club which I am a part of. I'm sure you get your butt kicked hard and often. We don't need sourpusses like you in our hobby.
Not a rant but a fact!

its no problem that it is made to cost yearly just to fly at a safe area in a large city, cause for every one person that pays, there are many more not wanting to pay and as a result flying in dangerous areas. good stuff..
