Have a 700n and 600n I've been dragging along in converting to FBL. Already have the vbar and beast on them and almost ready to go but can't bring myself to do a maiden.

I have a 300x that's been flying great, but never tweaked it since it came out great out of the box.

Maybe I'm just scared it'll tip over and cause a bad blade strike..

Check your setup one last time, make sure the compensation directions are correct, then get out and enjoy the excellence that is vbar,
I felt exactly the same but my maiden was just awesome.

Best of luck and enjoy your day out

Good luck

I was the same

I agree with Busher
At least with vBar you can remove the mains and TR's and do the vibration log check then go for it with more confidence

I was scared too
I triple checked the settings and started turning it up and it came up hovered as normal and flew pretty normal. When I tumbled and rolled it, then it was wow time. real smooth and like on rails. Don't be scared just recheck the settings and go for it.

Have another person do a final check before maiden. Then go for it:-)

I bought a fbl jr vibe 500e off here, and was aiming to try fbl. So I purchased a second hand 3g unit thinking it would work. And tried to set it up, but it was so much trouble. I just give the fbl unit away. Afraid it would self destruct my heli. Guess I'll just stick with what I know.

I was the same when I converted to BeastX. I ended up tipping my Protos twice After I switched the tape, it's been problem free ever since.

Thanks everyone. Where I live there's only a couple of experienced pilots but everyone is using flybar. And I'm not in contact with them either

I think I should have my 700n ready for a maiden this weekend after I setup the governor

I have flown helis for 5 years now. I would love to go fbl. I am getting pretty good at flying them and I will probabably stay with the flybar. It just blows my mind how many times I hear that ever since I changed the tape that I havnt had a problem. There has been millions of dollars worth of good helis wrecked because of tape.
Nice technology but without the right tape it seems you could be in trouble. Some use this tape some use that tape some use no tape some use this tape with a cable tie and some hard mount them. What is the best mount. Crash and then try something else W.T.F.

The only way to not crash is up
