I try to keep things organized and away from moving parts. Not the 'cleanest' job in the world, but everything is secure and protected from chafing. Here is an example of my 550E. Once I know everything is working correctly, I will hot glue the leads to the rx and vbar.

I take all my excess wire, wad it up in a ball and put a zip tie around it.

I'll add a few more zip ties along the frame or whatever to keep any of the wires from touching moving parts. Looks crappy; performs just the same.
