Anatomy of a BWADE was my first choice for the title but credibility is lost on that amusing bit, lol.

Here's the meat of the issue, you guys seem to be afwaid of a widdle cwack in a hewi brwade (sorry).

Lets try this again , here's the meaty goodness of the typical rc heli blade anatomy,

Blade at top of pic is 325mm balsa core with cf strand from root to tip through the center, not near the rear edge, no led weight,

This next one is a closer view of the root of a foamcore glass 4oz with cf strand on the foam, both sides and only a thin strand, black, on the upper blade,

Next we have a view of the tip exhibiting the placement of a LED BALLAST. Should your blade split along the seam on the front edge then you are playing with the possibility of one of these flinging out of the blade tip at high velocity.

This placement of the weight near the tip counters the tendency for a flapping blade to warp upward into a stall angle during swash events and pulls the tip outward to maintain a somewhat flat rotor disc profile. It adds to the gyro effect.

And one more of where I took a scissor to cut the weight out. It weighs 2.7 grams, more for larger blades of course

regarding wuss effect in this thread, https://rc.runryder.com/helicopter/t693332p1/

A stud finder should reveal the weight and it's placement in any brand blade.

Substitute cf for fiber glass surface layer and you have a cf blade, it's no rocket science.

cutting these bwades opwen hewps mwe sawve a pwowbwem wiff a new bwade concewpt

On the reality side,

That led weight is what causes the tip to be so dangerous at rpm.

All blades are not created equal. Weight placement and actual weight, root reinforcement and structure, cf/glass lay-up, wet or pre-preg, polyester or epoxy, core material type and density, profile/airfoil, and maybe a few tiny other things, but not much else, influence the behavior of a blade in performance.

Before I go, RESONANT FREQUENCY, that's a big factor and the end result of the combined materials used in any heli blade. It will have a subtle effect on performance. Try to stay away from high c
