Kudos to Bernie at CC support.
I had an issue with my new BEC Pro and Castlelink.
This guys knows his stuff with BECs and ESCs, plus he was upbeat & interesting. He solved my issue in about 5 minutes and we B.S.ed for another 20 minutes.
Gook to know there are still support guys like him out there.

Yeah, I don't think I want any CC gear these days. They do indeed get too much practice with their customer service right now. Maybe they'll do better with the next generation of esc's.

Buying CC products means you're supporting an American company that employs American workers who make American products in an American factory.
When you bought it, chances are you also supported an American hobby shop.

When you have a problem with your CC, you get customer service from an english-speaking American on American soil.

Why is supporting a company like CC suddenly such a bad thing?

**** you guys who disagree!

In other words if the products were better maybe we would not be hearing about their customer service so much.

only the captain rides his ship down. if he can get it to hold water again, maybe he'll get some crew back.

I am all about supporting American made products. That said, I am more about reliability when I need it most. I find the German products, such as HeliCommand, Kontronik, Mikado, and TDR helis top notch.

Of all the cc esc's I owned only had one that had an issue. That includes flying ones that were recalled. Was it not found that shorted motors could have lead to issues also?

Or is there a new issue I am not aware of? My ice ice 2 has been going strong all year.

They have some nice esc's for the money. I love the looks, and name, and place of origin. I'm also aware of issues with some CC ESC's. I'm only aware of the shorting possibility of the heat sink to main battery leads. And the fets may not be dissipating heat to the sink due to not touching it. I'm sure CC will get all these things worked out eventually. Also any other issues may be human error, trying to get more out of the ESC than it was designed to put out. Or hooked up wrong. If it's a 75A ESC, don't try to pull over a 100A from it.

I'm sort of in the market for a new/used 60/75amp esc. So if I buy one, new or used, it will come apart and be checked, and fixed before going into use. And I have no problem working, on or fixing a new, or used item. If it's a reasonable fix.

Help me understand, so if you don't buy %100 American, you're not really supporting the American companies?

I also like my Castle ESCs. Has nothing to do with country of origin, but rather performance, price, features, and the positive experiences with their support in the (distant) past. They have a new ESC line coming called the Talon with built in 20amp peak BEC that I am really looking forward to trying.

Actually my issue was with a new BEC Pro. I'm not so sure I trust their ESC line. I've used their BECs with no other issues.
