What is the best governor to use with a v-bar? Would an Align governor work or should I order something else?

The best governor is the VBAR governor. What model and firmware are you using?

I was reading you need to modify the align sensor for it to work, is that true?

Vbar gov is the best out there
Yes you will have to use a futaba or jr end. Also you have to switch the red and black wires. The futaba sensor is plug and play.

Use the Multigov sensor or the curtis sensor. Both work perfectly without any modification. The Align sensor requires switching wires around and soldering a different plug on. Not worth the trouble in my opinion.
