Anybody running Real flight on MacBook Pro with retina display? Are you using boot camp or parallel desktop? I'm trying to plan what route to take on my new laptop. Thanks

I use bootcamp on my 17 inch macbookpro. Rfd is pretty demanding, so don't think parallel would work good.

I tried already in parallel and works but with very low performance in Graphics. I have a Mac Mini. Mac Book Pro maybe is another story...

Retina
I have RF 6.5 running on the retina MacBook Pro 15 on a Parallels 8 Windows 7 VM. Works really, really well... No lag nor stutters. Using the high detail settings. Of course Bootcamp will work better, but I love the convenience of not having to reboot to use the Sim.

I have VMware running Windows 7 but always reboot into a "pure" windows environment to run the sim.

I haven't tried running my sim in VMware. I'll have to give it a shot.

Wait edit... which one is it? the 13inch or 15 inch?

For my 15 inch I use Bootcamp. MUCH Better options to configure your Graphics Card natively as Nvidia released an updated driver for the 650M. And the boot up time argument isnt even valid anymore. My rMBP will boot up in around 10 seconds.

I tried RF 6.5 in Windows 7 under VMWare Fusion 5.02 and Parallels 8. RF ran significantly smoother under Parallels 8 than Fusion. Gaming graphics in general performs better under Parallels 8... on my machine, Parallels 8 has a gaming graphics score of 6.9 compared to 6.0 for Fusion on the Windows Performance Index (and 6.9 vs 4.7 for the Desktop Performance for Aero).

Except for gaming, I use Fusion because I sometimes run those VMs on other platforms.
