Hey folks.
I bought a Align g600 gov as a budget governor the other day.
It arrived today but I ran into a slight problem.
Since this is tailored for the trex 600 it doesn't have a bracket other than that tiny piece it has to bolt into the 600 frame.

Is there anything I can use as a substitute?
I'm thinking some thick plastic, bleach bottle material maybe.
I'm not experienced with governors so I'm not sure how stiff the brackets usually are but I figure they are stiff enough to not flex and shake all over the place with the 'little Vodka burner' going full flank ahead.

The best thing would probably be aluminum but I don't have readily access to it but might get hold of some.

Then again plastic is easier to shape and work with.
A dremel with a sanding drum should fabricate a bracket in 5 minutes tops I recon.

Soo, anyone done this before?

Not much response here.

Anyways, I was going to make a bracket out of one of those PCI slot covers on the back of computers.
But as I was playing around with the sensor and where to place it I realized I could just glue it straight to the frame.

And that's what I did, a dab of 30 min epoxy and squished it on the frame and made sure the gov got a read of the magnet and hey presto.

Might be a pain to get off again but I'll deal with that when the time comes

I just used standard 2 part 30 min epoxy.
But the holes in my fan was pre-drilled and the magnets was pretty snug even without glue.
There was also drilled a tiny tiny hole in the back of the fan so when I pressed the magnet in, some of the epoxy came out the back which I presume would make a good seal since there's no air bubbles under the magnet.

But what do I know

I'll let some more experienced people chime in.
