Best upgrade for the synergy yet. The install took about 1hr. I talked to Ralph at FBL and he gave me step by step instructions over the phone He said that they are working on instructions for the kit. You do have to enlarge the lower canopy hole a bit, but it was no problem for the benefits of these trays. I'm running Glacier 5300s and was a little worried they wouldn't fit with the tray. It's a little tight getting them in but once they drop and lock in there is at least 5mm to lower main shaft bearing block. And these batteries are huge!!
Here is a couple pics to show the canopy and everything else.
I would like to say thanks again to Ralph for the help and providind quality products!!

I picked up mine this weekend as well. The canopy mod was fairly minor. A Dremel made quick work of the job. I tried to make the cutout around the clip. Although the triangle works quite well to. I measured and marked (33mm) then used a dime for reference. This was my test canopy. I might try the triangle on flight canopy. In case its not obvious I don't have the hands of a surgeon.

The tray clips in quite solidly. The extra heat shrink was a nice unexpected touch. Thanks Ralph!

The instructions are now complete and have been sent out to everyone who purchased the kit this weekend.

I will place a link on the site so you may preview the manual.

Thank's for posting the photos of your installs. I an sure this will help many who have questions or ideas on how to cut out the clearance hole on the bottom of the canopy.

Looks awesome! I don't have an E6/7 myself but when the E5 is out and one is available for that I'm jumping all over it.

Amazing work as always Ralph! And thanks guys for posting the pictures, it sure does help show how it all works.

Battery Tray
Yeah! Got two yesterday afternoon. Had them installed in 20 minutes on both. 5 minutes of that spent looking for my counter sink bit for the dremel. They fit perfectly. I did dremel out the canopy vent hole a bit. No biggie!

Can't wait to get them in the air this weekend!

Cheers
Alan

What sized drill bit is needed for the holes? I need to stop and get one on the way home tonight.
