Ok got a video up now. Thanks to JoeD.
I am on the second gallon now and power is starting to come in. I am just a tad adjusted from stock setting on the High and low needles. Still have a long way to go but I want to wait till the second gallon is done. Not the best flying but ok. At 2min mark I over bogged it and almost crashed. I left full colective in it during a tail slide loop.

I really like the power it has.

Man that is a killer flight. Can you tell us about your set up? Any engine mods, Stock g20 or what mods have you done. It is quite impressive for a gasser. I am thinking of going that route but have been undecided. Just wondering what might have to be done to the stock version to allow it to fly so well?
thanks
Jeff

Stock
This is the stock 499 combo with the hwc newer motor running 14th pinion. Pipe is the CenturyV2 Upgraded the fuel Clunk thats all. 32-1 Oil for now

Keep in mind the fan magnets need to be changed to rare earth to get the pick up to work (better). I'm hoping to get a little more power out of it in the next gallon. Then I am going to switch fuel to a place in SA Texas that is premixed at 40-1. I will post my results when I get it.

Century 640mm Blades
RJX FBL Head
Align 600 Swash
Align Tail Grips
Align Tail Slider
Align ds610 servos
BLS251 Tail Servo
Total-G FBL Controller - GOV at 2000(comes down to 1900 during climbs)

i am new to gassers. what is the hwc motor? why all the align parts? i know the tail slider on my falcon isnt smooth at all so i am guessing the same is true with the g20.
thanks

HWC motor comes from

http://www.heli-world.com/

Owned by

http://www.Centuryhelicopter.com

They started porting the Zenoah engines w/CNC machines. To my understanding, the 20cc only benefit on balancing while the larger engines also gain power.

FWIW...
I ran my stock tail rotor and blades with well over 100 flights (GY401/S9253) until a tail crash took it all out and when I upgraded to Alu. Still using the same gyro but servo went to another bird. Now using HP-DS20-GMD servo and carbon blades. Oh yeah, you have to use the align tail pitch slider with it. Tail pitch lever is still original.

In my case, I wanted a Century tail rotor but none were in stock at the time. So Align is usually the closest, fastest, inexpensive way to get back in the air sooner than the weekend coming up type of desperate decision...all in one breath. The tail rotor is the only Align stuff in my heli.

Cool flight, great save.

~~Enjoying the hobby one flight at a time~~

Very good flight!

Wait till it cools off out side below 65 deg...your gonna see even more power from that engine...keep it clean, tuned right and it will keep a smile on your face.

BTW it flew better IMO than any 600 with the OS 15cc in it

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...
