The stock servos on the 450x just dont hold up to a lot of hard flying. Is anyone using any metal gear digitals that fit well. I looked at the 410 aligns , Hitec65 but dimensions are not the same. Also servo arms dimension dont match well.
Any inputs will be appreciated.
Thanks
Luis

What about the servo arms. Specially the elevator since is a long double arm and the align servo doesnt bring any.

I'm running the Align 415m and 425m with a cc bec on 6v. Works great! I used the stock single arms on ail and pitch and a futaba double arm for the elev. Used the stock 425m 4 arm on the tail.

I'm sorry but I'm not exactly sure. I got it out of a box of servo arms I had. I'm thinking 3153 but can't remember for sure.

I broke down and bought the align415mg. Not cheap ,but working very well. Should have done this along time ago instead of replacing the eflite ones every so many flights . For the $500.00 a blade 450x cost better servos should be provided. These things are terrible!

The other weak point besides the servos would be the bec in the stock esc. Both of the 450x's in my club had them go out. I just put a cc bec in and have had zero issues since. Been a great heli after those upgrades. Have fun with it!

I'm using the align 3g 325mm carbon. They fly just as good for 1/2 the price of the originals.

MKS servos are awesome!

The MKS DS92A+ is a good option as well.

For the top of the line ultra fast hard core 3D you can go with the MKS 95i.

iKon, because I am connected to my heli, are you?

Also replaced my stock 450x cyclic servo's with newer Align ds415m's and these are working great. Much more solid response and after a hard crash today, no stripped servo gears!

My old Eflite ds76 cyclic servo's are now demoted as 300x back-ups.

The only problem with these ds415m servo's are that they do not come with a long enough double-horn for the Elevator servo (needs ~25mm ball/ball). I managed to find one that fit perfectly from some old ones I had in stock (think it was from an old Turnigy 9g servo). The older Align 410 servo arm sets include this longer arm and work perfectly as well (DS410 Servo Horn HSP41001). Also pretty sure that mini-Savox arms work as well.

The stock ds76t tail servo is way too weak as well imho (mine burnt out after ~20 flights). I replaced mine with an Ino-lab hgd261hb mini that I had in stock (had to mount the ballink under the servo wheel to get the right alignment) and this is working great. If I had not already had this tail servo in stock I would probably have tried one of the newer Align ds425m tail servo's.

Cheers,
TomC
