I am thinking about getting one of these units. But I am not to good with the technical stuff. Can anyone who has experience with these tell me how hard is it to setu? Does it utilize a wizard like vbar? And I have a trex 700e, will this unit be a good fit for it? Looking for rock solid tail performance.

Did he crash? Dang I missed it!

Yes it does....

Plus there's two other wizards right here as well named Danny (F1 Rocket) and Joachim HC, both of these guys are wizards when it comes to setting a HeliCommand up, for me and from what i've read the tail is is exceptional, and i can't say enough about the HC3-SX self-leveling, it's just the best there is right now.......

I found it to be one of the easiest units to setup without lots of tweaking. As stated the wizard makes it very easy to get everything right. Plus Danny does a fantastic job supporting the product if you need it!

You can probably just download the existing parameters for your specific model from the HeliCommand web site and load those settings in your new controller.

Very easy to set up. Even easier to update and keep current as improved software becomes available.

Tail is stellar.

Support is fantastic, as pointed out by previous poster.

Fits airframes easily, as they can be mounted in any orientation. I use them stuck to side frames all the time.

As a FBL unit (not considering the auto-stablising), very similar imho, but the latest V-bar includes a govenor. If you have a Komtronik Esc, which already has a very good gov, this is no big deal imho.

Both fbl units eork great but if you are interested in stablisation, I'd go with an HC3-SX.

Cheers,

Actually, we do not have these available any more for download, as the default is mostly a lot closer to the optimum than any preset by anybody who may have far other requests (not talking about parts specs) than me on his heli.
So go with the wizard and be happy
