How do I configure throttle hold and stunt 1/2 positions in this sim.
I'm using a JR9503 radio

Activate throttle hold and any switches you want to use in the radio just like you would if setting up a real Heli. The flight modes are already activated, but you need to change the throttle curves for idle 1 and 2, leave normal alone. On idle one, try a straight 80% throttle curve all the way from 0 to 100 and use a straight 100% throttle curve on idle 2.

Make sure the throttle hold % is down to 0.

I have a 9303 and it won't work on mine either. I just deal with it. On some of the older radios, it won't let you use all the switches.

Phoenix responds to each of the radios CHANNELS, not switches. When using Phoenix, you need to understand your radio in terms of CHANNELS, not switches!

The flight mode switch and the T-hold switch themselves are not channels, but Phoenix will respond to the throttle channel output in each flight condition.

For FM1, assign a T-curve 0-100, in idle up(s) just assign flat 100 (the built in governor in the sim handles the rest)

And ensure that T-hold is active. Be sure to assign 0 for the throttle position.

It does work and it will work.
I was a Phoenix user since 2006. It has ALWAYS worked, even with the 9303.

I still have the original install disc.

I actually calibrated mine with a 9303. set it up as a heli in the transmitter itself, set the throttle and pitch curves just like a normal model, and i have been flying it just like any normal model. flight mode 1, 2 and normal pitch curves work as do the throttle holds
