I tested out my ICE 100 on thursday & all seemed to be working. Yesterday i had another play with setting the gov & testing in the garden but then i wanted to try fixed endpoints. I selected this in the link software then had a play with answering yes/no to various settings via the throttle. This seemed to go well until i tried to spool up & all the motor did was chatter. So i decided to reset the ICE to defaults then i reset gov mode again. I plugged it in but no beeps? I had a red light flashing so i tried arming it but nothing but motor chatter. Now everytime i plug it in i still get no beeps so i go full throttle then back to zero & the red light becomes an amber flashing slowly which according to the instructions is when it's in Data logging mode. So anyone have a clue what the f.... has just happened to my new esc???

You need to calibrate the throttle channel of your transmitter to the esc so it knows where zero and 100 are. Castle website has a step-by-step procedure.

I've done that as per castle video over & over. It does not arm at all. No beeps when you plug in as it should before you set the EP's then an amber light when i try & calibrate low throttle.

All was working fine before i tried doing some settings via the yes/no method with the throttle & whatever i done during this has screwed it up & it can't arm for me to undo any of it

When you changed the settings back in the Castle software, did you push the button to send the new settings to the esc? Trivial, but easy to overlook.

I guess you were programming by using the throttle stick.

It appears that you have the Phoenix Link cable, too. If so, can you use the software to reset your controller and start over. Maybe even update the firmware while you're at it.

It's hard to tell what may have gotten hosed up while stick programming the ESC. But it's got to be more frustrating figuring out how to get back into programming mode and fix whatever got messed up.

Yes i did press the send button. I had thought maybe i hadn't myself when it first happened but it made no difference. I'm a little dubious of upgrading as it's BETA & most of the problems i read are when people chose to download the new version & it kills their esc. I have reset to defaults via the cable many times but it doesn't change. I thought this would do it (in theory it should reset everything) but it hasn't. The cable is working fine as i get all the correct lights.

Ok, if i plug it in in a silent room i can just about hear the motor do the arming beeps but i cannot get rid of the yellow light or motor chatter. I cannot hear it do 6 beeps for 6s though?? It just goes bilililip twice?? & stay's on a yellow flashing light. If i plug in at full throttle the light is red & it only goes yellow when i go to zero. I've just redone the ep's for the 1000 time & i could hear it beep when it hit both full & zero (if i have my ear close to it) but as always it goes yellow.

Yellow LED - used for Data Logging (Phoenix Ice, Phoenix Ice Lite
and Phoenix Ice2 HV only)
• Yellow LED flashes when logging, and is on continuously
when log is full.

Yea i thought it meant only when tranfering the logged data. Anyhow it's stopped working again now. I get 6 beeps when i plug in & a continous flashing red light (fast flash)& that's it. I've tried resetting it then doing throttle end points again but i get nothing?? it wont respond to anything
