Today I'm flying my logo 600 and my tp 10s 3850mah 30c pack fails

The factory bullet that connects the 2 5s packs together becomes unsolderd and the rest is history

Not to bad about 125 to get her back up but why do these expensive packs fail

My hobby king lipo's have never caused me to crash

Anybody else had this problem I've flown this pack about 15 flights or so

The factory/interconnect bullet is too small IMO. It's only 4mm dia, same as the ones that come with Scorpion & Align motors etc. Ridiculous especially if we solder on EC5s or bigger!

I've had to resolder an interconnect bullet, wasn't fully soldered. Stupid dumb shipping rules limiting packs to 100Wh hence the split pack design.

Actually I've cut all the interconnect bullets off my TP65 6S 5000mAh packs & soldered them directly. As the interconnect wires stick out too far & get jammed helis with narrow frames.

TP should consider using bullets similar to the CC 6-6.5mm ones - a lot more compact & far heavier duty.

It's the older pro power 30c

I think I'm just going to solder the wires together so there's no failure point there anymore

there's too much resistance across the connector and it might heat up enough to soften the solder.

If I'm not mistaken, every connector, what ever it is, offers resistance and will heat up under the right conditions.

Connector Resistance (ohms)
Tamiya / JST / Kyosho 1.2
Deans 0.55
Powerpole 0.75
Corally / Orion 0.75

Electricity is a bit of a Bermuda triangle with volts, amps, and ohms at its angles.
