Since the take off of the 130x we sure have seen a lot of mCPx's for sale.
Me I am sticking with the mCPx for now. I dumped it in hard a few times yesterday trying to learn tail forward flight. The crashes would have surely ended with gears on a 130x.
Yes I have had a chance to fly the 130 and it is amazing compared to the mCPx. Bet I could pile drive that and cost myself a ton.
For now the mCPx will still stay my learning heli.

Send your mCPx stuff to:

I have 2 sons that are just loving the mCPx. No fear of hurting dads wallet and truely enjoying flying helis.
Collective management, my 10yr old is now learning what it means. He still blows the tail out now and then.
My 7yr old now does all his own simple repairs and gets back to practicing.
Life is nice when you can share the hobby with your kids.

Cool hanging out with your kids.

I have had a bunch of SUPER hard crashes with my 130X and have only stripped one tail gear and broke one blade grip.

I mean a BUNCH of crashes.lol....

OH...I broke a canopy stand off.

I literally never use the word literally right.

Told mom about the 130x and it looks like the boys may be getting them for Christmas. Just not giving up on the mCPx.
My boys might not get a mall copter under the tree. Yeah!

I also noticed all the mCPX sales and the resale price dropping. I could only swing one more new bird so I went with the 300X. It is the best value since the AR7200bx goes for 200 and the bird only costs 324. I might also get a 130x someday but by then all the bugs will be worked out.

One thing that is great about the mCPX is that it is so stable. I gave my neighbor a 30 second instruction on the radio and let him fly it. He had it hovering for about 45 seconds before he had to hit TH. This is the only bird I would do that with.

I honest to god couldn't stand my MCPX..Its good for new people getting into the hobby and learning the basics (upright and inverted) but thats about it..Maybe the brushless mod is better but I would never buy another one and wouldn't think twice about dumping $$ in one for upgrades. You can buy a nice 450 size heli for the price of the MCPX after modding it..
Im really thinking about giving the Blade 130X a go..Looks like it fits my flying style and its not a underpowered turd..Just waiting to fly my buddys to see if I want one..
No pun to anyone that likes the MCPX but thats the worse heli I ever owned..

I'd like to get one to bind to my spektrum radio. I have'nt flow heli's in about a year. So it would be a good tool to get used to flying again.

Still love my mCPx. Already burned out one motor, replaced a tail boom and frame. I've learned so much on this little heli that get's transferred to the 450 and then the Rappy.

I'm sure I'll be flying her inside a lot once the weather turns here in New England.

All that said...I'm planning on adding a 130 to the "heli cave" before too long.

Keeping my mCPx still one of the best toughest mini heli's out there. I wouldn't take a 130 if you gave it to me. I'm sick of working on them and trying to sort out the issues with it for people.

I have never liked the mcpx. ANY heli, with a motor for the tail is garbage to me. I dont see how experience with it can be transfered to a "real" heli...each to their own tho..

The 130 flies awesome. Just have to watch a couple things on the tail and it is fine. Best Blade heli to date...IMO.

Doesn't sound like you've ever flown one?! Or maybe the one you flew was set up incorrectly?!!

I LOVED my MCPX. I learned more with the MCPX then I ever did with any sim. And saying it doesn't translate to a "real" heli is a dumb statement. The controls are exactly the same, it handles great, it's stable, and can do most anything you throw at it.

I used to be sketchy with inverted flight. The MCPX got me comfortable upside down in all orientations.

I have since sold it and got a 300X. I didn't want two small helis to tinker with, so the MCPX went. And wow - wouldn't you know... Everything I learned on the MCPX transferred to the 300X.

To say it's not a "real" heli is a dumb statement. It's as much of a "real" heli as any other model.

Folks that say it isn't a real bird most likely have never flown one. I wouldn't have anything to do with it if it didn't control and fly just like any of my birds. Mine even took on a hawk in battle and won.

@ Turboboy,

I have flown them many times and for you to assume that it was setup incorrectly is down right funny!

It is a POS TOY!! They should be sold at Walmart! IMO

I stated my opinion on it and you think it is a "dumb" statement. I am assuming you have anger or other issues in your life that are being reflected here on RR.

I hope you get them sorted out.

Good luck to you and your awesome mcpx!

Really? Isn't that a bit extreme?

Along with this...................

Nope. That is what I think of them.

I know it can be difficult for some to not understand how everyone cant like something that they do.

I have had helis that I love that others called junk or cheap. So what!

I am simply being honest on how i feel about the mcpx. Damn me if you must...
