Has any one had any problems with HAYES black fuel / clunk line swelling and spiltting when used with gasoline ?
Twice on my helibug the clunk line swole spilt and the filter was rolling around the tank. Then last night I noticed the vent line on my Whiplash's tank was spilt at the tank end.
I only use this type of hose for my clunk/filter and vent loop.
What hose are others using were high flexability is wanted and is gas safe?

Peace Out BOBBY D.

viton tubing, the stuff that comes with the Zenoah motors

If you're not flying a gasoline helicopter
You're paying 10 times too much for fuel!!

Can not find viton localy but did find TYGON F4040 1/8" id X 3/16" od at a go cart shop. The thin wall makes it very flexable. The real stuff with name date and ser #.

Tygon isn't as flexible as that black stuff. We are talking clunk lines. I don't know that I would trust it for flying inverted, but of course it's your call. That Zenoah stuff is made for gas clunk lines, and while I replace it every season. I have a feeling it would last several years.

black line

Had new line that was in storage(black) installed all fresh lines outside the tank also ...I went to run the helicopter and noticed my fuel color was a little off.. i opened the tank and found the line swollen and ready to drop the clunk ets.. that would have cost me alot of cash if crashed!

Hayes black.... don't use it. It gets soft, swells, lengthens, discolors fuel.
