IMO the way the RNC handled the Ron Paul delegates pretty much alienated a whole bunch of potential repub votes that would have voted for whomever was nominated through open discussion and voting.Theres a good chance they are simply handing the election to BS(funny how we actually have a POTUS with those initials anyway) .Whats the point of having a convention if you are only going to allow those who agree with you to vote? I smell a huge rat. Romney will be a puppet the same as Bill or Dubya or Obama has been.We dont need a dog or a pony at this point in our history. We need a leader that will address some of the inherent failings of our system and restore the moral enough that we can fix our economy and take care of our social issues. We need a new captain of the team not a new daddy. It will be more of the same BS (from both parties) that got us where we are today. What is it exactly that makes everyone believe the henhouse will be safer if we get a grey fox instead of a red one?
The phrase "Hook,Line and Sinker" keeps coming to mind more and more often these days.

Not necessarily.

If Ron Paul is not on the ballot, then people will not vote for him. I am not aware that there can be 2 republicans on the ballot for president.

Of course, Ron Paul die hard supporters will just write him in. But, no where near as many as if he was on the ballot. Not even close. I suspect that either Ron Paul will back Romney, or he will disappear until after the election. On his own of course.

But then, if folks have to fill up their gas tank and stop by the grocery store to get food on the way to the ballot box to save another trip, the Obummer is toast.

Ron Paul didn't get anywhere near enough votes. You know that. With all due respect, what is there to discuss?

I guess we will see.I have a pretty good idea what is going to happen.
True enough that many people still vote for what they believe in.The bigger truth is that in this day and age more seem to be fully aware they are voting for a lesser of 2 evils.Or as I see it the the thing they are least afraid of.Who would have thought...
Home of the brave?
Who do you suppose is the group with the largest majority of Ron Paul supporters?
There is another one of those principles(after all thats what its about)
that really applies in both directions. How many ppl would say they dont support our troops? Of course they say they support the troops. They give them the most important free thing of all.Getting free stuff works for both parties.Question is what free stuff is more important?
Even many that know nothing in life is free want free stuff now.
We are alot farther down the rabbit hole than most are willing to face up to.

And by the way how many actually vote anyway? This is the will of the ppl?Reality check is going to be interesting to say the least.

So, what else is new?

You got that right.

Most of us Ron Paul folks will get behind Gary Johnson. He's the next closest thing to Pauls' Ideals. Most of us see romney as an obama twin.
