Dear Mrs. Romney,

Perhaps you can advise me. Since you have raised 5 boys, I'm sure you'll understand. One of the kids is sick again and I have no sick days left at work. In fact, my boss gave me a bad performance review and no raise this year because he said I obviously don't care that much about my job since I've missed so many days and if I miss anymore he may have to replace me. Whenever my child gets sick, my boss reminds me how easily I can be replaced.

We don't have health insurance at my job, so, if my boy gets worse, I'll probably be at the ER most of the night tonight. Not for the first time, but that's ok, he'll get care. It's tomorrow I'm worried about.

As you know, regular day care will not take a sick child, so if I want to work when my child is sick, I have to pay for sick child day care, which costs as much as I make, and, as I'm sure you know from personal experience, I still have to pay my regular day care, whether my child is there or out sick, so I actually lose money in order to work while he's sick. It's that or take a chance on losing my job entirely.

Should I take my child to the day care for sick kids and lose money and not have enough for my bills this month, so I can keep my job, or should I stay home with my sick child and hope that I don't get fired?

What did you do when this happened to you?

Sincerely, Just Another Mom

that belong to tim pawlenty} i know they all got sick' and she use
the same welfare system that 's design for the poor to cared for
her sick boys. while saving the cash that they should've paid taxt with. This an example how the romney`s beat the system.

Since this thread is about the hypothetical, here's mine:

Based on Romney's charitable history, and if they knew that father and his kid, or if they were members of his church, they would probably pay that medical care for that kid in full and ask for absolutely nothing in return.

Remind us of the Obummer's half brother living in a filthy shack in Kenya and earning about $25.00 per year in some kind of wages.

Send the Obummer a letter and ask him why he does not help his own family in extremely poor living standards. So poor in comparison that the poor here in the USA live like and have the riches of kings and queens.

So let me get this straight, it is apparently Ann Romney's fault that this hypothetical "Mom" doesnt have enough self respect to NOT work for a crappy company with a crappy boss, and isnt smart enough to budget her finances properly to have insurance?

I have NEVER had a job that provided health insurance, I have ALWAYS had to purchase my own since age 22. I am now 42. 15 years ago I got married, and pay insurance for myself and my wife. I have asthma,my wife has endometriosis, my insurance is not cheap. I have had to adjust my "lifestyle" many times in order to make sure I made my monthly insurance payment. Kinda like the rent, you do what you gotta to do to make it happen. I just cant understand all these irresponsible individuals that think everything is always someone's else's fault, or they think they need to keep up with the Jones's next door with their x-boxes, $100 sneakers, 24" rims and boomin stereo's, and then complain because they cant "afford" life's necessities.

Nothing in the letter says anything about government support, or living off the system. The women is describing a situation which tens of thousands of women face every week in this country. Women who have to make the gut wrenching choice between keeping their job and/or taking care of their children.

They should really make a gut wrenching decision before they get knocked up if they cant afford children.
Ann Romney married a successful man and they were successful enough they could have and afford 5 children.dont have 5 + children if your expecting the government to raise those kids.

Yup, it happens.

But, is it Ann Romney's fault? Is it Mitt Romney's fault?

I don't think so.

Ann Romney has never had to make the decision of work versus taking care of her child. Ann was supported by her Father and Mitt's father. Ann Romney never took home a paycheck,, she had the luxury of being a stay at home mom because she and Mitt came from wealthy families.

What planet do you live on??? Mormons are required to contribute 10% minimum of their income to the Church,, no if ands or buts,, you contribute or you're out. One of my friends from GS and HS was Mormon, I've heard it all.

So, the hypothetical lady decided to have kids and is now bitching about the costs to raise them and keep them healthy. She acts like these kids were forced upon her and she had NO choice when she got knocked up.
