I am in Germany and I am going to find a hobby shop to see if there are any deals to be had. In general things are more expensive and a google search seams to agree, but is there any thing I should get while I am here that is not available in the US?

I have a 3D heli, I don't understand why it doesn't do 3D

How long ya going to be there? The Eurocopter Heli Masters starts a week from tomorrow (Sep. 7,8,9), and it's about an hour away in Augsburg. See http://www.heli-masters.com

Lots of sponsors will be on site, and I'm pretty sure you can find something you can't live without

Octoberfest
What else
Agreed. OktoberFest begins in September and the top six breweries will be there in Munchen. (Munich) One of the breweries has been around since 1009 A.D.

It is the worlds largest fair.

All good ideas

I am only here for the weekend, so i will not get to check out Octoberfest or the Euroheli masters. I wish I was here longer. I did how ever just get back from the Beer garden. The German purity law makes sense to me. I was hoping Logos might be cheaper, or the 600 SX was out here but I don't think either is the case. I am still hoping I might see a reasonably priced model not available in the US, then I would have a good selling point for the wife.

I love German white wine. A Mosel-Sauer / reisling / spatlese or auslese would be awesome. Of course, the Mosel region is a few hours to the North of where you will be. Are you staying long enough to go to Oktoberfest?

I would stick to enjoying yourself and taking in Oktoberfest. I have a huge family over there and spend several weeks each summer on vacation in the Mosel/Bernkastel/Trier area. One of my cousins is into rc helis and I'll take one of my Logos and spares when we go there. RC is VERY expensive in Europe. He usually comes here every couple of years and loads up while he's here and sometimes I'll send him stuff. The German rc helis & electronics are cheaper over here than in Germany.

Viel Spass im Munchen!

As was my dad in the mid 60's. My mom was born and raised in Wittlich and I lived there until I was 5. Most of my family is still there. Absolutely beautiful part of Germany.

I know Wittlich quite well. I have rode my bicycle to Wittlich when I was there. It was a challenge riding it back up the hill going back to the base. I also miss the pig fest as well. That was an awesome fest to go to in August.
