Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can quickly understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out. It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungon

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president."

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

President's broken promises, or just lies.

Cut the Deficit in Half– the president vowing shortly after taking office to cut an inherited deficit in half by the end of his first term.
Fix the Economy: Regardless of when the country’s economic problems started, the president also vowed during his campaign to fix the economy in three years. Fourteen months later, he said missing the deadline would make his presidency a “one-term proposition.
Close Guantanamo Bay: Obama has also so far been unable to shutter the Guantanamo Bay military prison in Cuba, though this is more of a concern for Obama's base than Republicans.
Televise Health Care Debate: Obama also said repeatedly in his run for the White House – in TV ads, on the campaign trail and in at least one debate – that the negotiations on his health care reform plan would be televised, if he were elected. However, final health care talks, including the meetings between House and Senate conferees, were held behind closed doors.
Increase Transparency: Obama once predicted that his administration would have an “unprecedented” level of transparency.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

Make sure you make note of the Romney&Ryan promises so you can tick them off as done, the first and easiest,of course will be just to pay off the interest and debt in the first term. Can people really be so stupid and naive? You dont so much need a new president but a host of God like miracles.Tell me you did not believe Obama could deliver and could not see pre election hype? They all do it and always will, you of course know this if you are into politics

How can you fire someone for not being able to work miracles though...the more failed presidential terms we have, the more we spiral downward out of control. I feel that we're so deep in that spiral now that I won't see a significant improvement in our fiscal and political position in my lifetime. Do any of you guys honestly think that with the current trend of partisan politics that any president will be able to wipe out the debt in even two terms? The optimist in me hopes so...more for the future of my kids than for my wife and I...but the realist in me says it's just not in the cards. Politics today is a far cry from what our founding fathers had in mind when our government was born...it has devolved into greed and selfishness. The only thíng most of you guys can agree on ís who shouldn't be presIdent. We cant even come up wIth realístíc solutIons that would appease both sIdes In a forum, how can you expect the politicians that represent you to do it? Knowingly or not, it seems to me that every politician in Washington has dedicated themselves to being part of the problem rather than the solution...what ever happened to "we the people" and "for the people"?

I don't hire losers.

I fire losers.

If Romney doesn't fix it, fire him!

Thats a good question thats already been kinda answered:

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. Dibert...I feel the same. However I also try to keep my expectations realistic. Present someone with an achievable goal and expect results. What we're expecting of this president or another is a miracle...why not throw in curing cancer in four years while we're at it? My point is that the solutions we're after may take decades to play out, and the current state of politics will have one side using executive power every four years to nullify the harm or good the other sIde has done. Funny thIng about the harm or good part...Its relatIve to your sIde of the fence. Even a president with a perfect plan, if there is one, doesn't stand a chance to implement it in its original intended form if at all. Too many people with their hands in the cookie jar.

Dennis...if that's the case will we apply the same statement to Romney if he can't deliver? The future doesn't look very bright no matter which side you're on.

You bet. If Romney comes down as bad as the Obummer, I'll tell it like it is.

The key here is that the Obummer has a record of 4 years as prez and not much else.

Romney has a record of success throughout his entire adult life that is tractable.
The future doesn't look very bright no matter which side you're on.
Yup, the future does not look bright. Agreed.

However. Our federal government is so large that there is a huge amount that can be cut without any hardship on any Americans. Even that will take tough and determined leadership.

Liberty once lost, is lost forever.
