Hello,
I'm a newbie to helicopters so forgive me guys for the terminology.
Can you help me please I have a Graupner/Hiem, Uni-Expert-mechanics Electric, and can not work out what size electric motor and batteries to fit into it I'm using a calculator http://www.ecalc.ch/helicalc_e.htm?ecalc looks like this guy has done a fantastic job, there is only 2 boxes for the Main gear and Motor pinion and I do not know what to put into these box's.
I have 4 gears with this Graupner/Hiem setup the gearing is Clutch 23 tooth, Counter 54 tooth, Drive 15 tooth and Main 60 tooth gives a Ratio of 9.39.
What figures do I enter into the above calculator or do you have a formula to work this out? Your advice and expertise would be very much appreciated.
The project is an Agusta 109 Vario fuselage approx 54" length, FlyBarless 4 Blade Head with the above mechanics.
BTW I will not be flying this when it is finally built I would get an experience pilot to fly it.
Regards
Steve.

I would just round it up to 9.4 and enter 94 teeth for main gear and 10 teeth for pinion for 9.4 ratio. Should be close enough.
