Almost half off on a NIB Spectra G over at Heli Proz. At this very moment. What a steal!

I just couldn't resist!

add the RC motor conversion for it and use an RC motor and it really changes the model. It stiffens up the chassis completely and eliminates any cooling issues.

If you're not flying a gasoline helicopter
You're paying 10 times too much for fuel!!

It will be very nice for sure. The only thing is I'm still trying to come up with the best solution for cabin heat. The RC motor blows upwards and gets everything inside the canopy toasty...

duct tape and aluminum tape

Yes that small piece helps but you also have to divert the air at the base of the head. After adding the tape everything under the canopy is no longer hot.

Piece

Yes I have that piece from Dave's and also a piece of G10 that came with helibug Spark. I also tried to make my own piece of CF but there is still some hot air that gets in the canopy.

Bob, I see you duct tapes the gaps on the intake side but I didn't feel any air blowing in that area. I think most of my issues is the air going on a diagonal towards the front on the muffler side.

I tried to cover that side and point it down a bit but now the hot air going straight out to the front on the muffler side.

I do have a few pics of when I taped over the intake in my gallery. Have removed all that tape. Made things hotter:-). I think you need to focus on the hot air at the base of the head. That's were it was getting me. Hope this helps.
