What began as a “how much can this thing to lift” project turned into a “who cares, 3d it” project

Still haven’t finished testing what it can lift, but right now I am having a lot of fun flying at low RPM. It is good collective management practice.

I like the sound of it, like a fullsize helicopter

Am I the only person who likes my video?

About 3 minutes in I did some sub 1000rpm poop-my-pants style piroflips.....come on, how many helis can do that??? This is a different kind of beast.

There are a lot of times where I stop mid move because I'm not sure if it will go the whole way!

Stop the video just before the auto landing, the blades don't just cone, they curve up over an inch Check it out! Thanks

I like it too. Nice and slow 3D. I like how you take off and land also. Not a lot of jerking it around, I don't like that. Nice and easy wins the race.

Thanks guys! It's in real speed...just has a real weird looking speed!

Thanks for the laugh John! You gotta fly this one, it is a freak

The camera was a 24mm wide angle...on a tripod...sucks that it makes everything look so far away, I had the tail two feet from the camera in that inverted hover but it looks further....flight times are so long it's ridiculous, this was all one flight.

Cool Video KC. I've been running some 710 Semis on my E7 with a 470Kv motor and a 7s 5000 pack. Really fun..

Yep 710 SpinBlades with Rail 116's on the tail. Been switching back and forth between the Rail 696 and the SB 710's. Played around with different head speeds.. 1100 to 1300. It's running about 1500 right now but fixin to change everything up motor wise.

The guys at the feild give me crap about flying too long. Neat to get better flight times than a nitro. Remember when that was the gripe about E helis? Too short a flight time..
