You know when you pull some stickers, or old gyro tape/Velcro off and it leaves that sticky adhesive on the frame, battery or what ever you fastened down? I hate that, it's a pain to rub and rud, and makes your finger raw trying to get it off. Well put a couple drops of Cyanoacrylate Adhesive Debonder on it and smear it out with your finger and wait about two/three minutes and it wipes right off with an old rag.

Good tip for sure.

I personally use a Dremmel and a sanding drum on plastic frame parts when I remove gyros and RXs and stuff.

Your tip is awesome for stuff that has a shiny finish though.

Cyanoacrylate Adhesive Debonder is the active ingredient in Goo Gone and Goof Off if I'm not mistaken.

I just found this out the other day. I was trying to get some sticky mess off where velcro left behind. And I thought lets see what this will do. If it takes CA off it has to remove this mess. So I Put some of this on it and it came right off. I about fainted. I must buy more debonder.

The active ingredient in CA debonder is Acetone. I use goo-gone or Acetone. You do need to be careful using Acetone on some plastics.

Just don't use break fluid. It will make plastic brittle, and it will break the first bump. When I was a teen maybe 15 I put some on a Nice 4X4 Buggy and the whole supension started breaking apart.

If it is a flat surface I use a small steel rod like the smallest allen tip in my set. Lay it on the surface right up against the edge of the tape and while pushing against the tape turn the rod like you are trying to roll it away from the tape. It is amazing how well it works. The tape will roll up on the rod. You can then take and Exacto knife and scrape it off the rod. No chemicals or residue to deal with.

Hey that works. I've done that trick also. On metal, I use a cigarette lighter and heat it up and the sticky will roll up and right off with a firm thumb. But it tends to get warm.

I had another eureka moment.

Just got a new glow igniter the other day in trade. And I needed a C-cell rechargeable battery for it. So I tapped 4 duracell rechargeable-AAA's together in a Square & soldiered all hots/+ & all grounds/- together, with some wire And then put some tape around and folded over the hot end, that makes contact down inside the barrel so the + would not shorth against the sides. Works like a charm. Now I have a 4000Mah Ni-CD instead of a 600mah. Glow Igniter.
