You'll have to sand, or grind/dremel out where the servos install as the hole is to small for these servos. but they will fit with some work.

i dont like to talk bad but my blade 400 had good gyro and servos and never got better. might look into getting at least a align clone to get a better flying heli. or find a good used heli. they are selling cheap these days. i had tons done to my blade and it never got much better then it was out of the box

"might look into getting at least a align clone to get a better flying heli"

Do not get an Align clone when you can buy a good used true Align 450 from a RR seller. Watch the postings because they come and go. A used early generation V1 or V2 should be had for $200 to $300 depending on the gear. Last one I bought had the HS65-MG servos and GY401 gyro. Like you I upgraded from a B400. The Align 450 is a smoother more vibration free heli than the B400. Just my dimes worth of advice!

I don't understand why people keep going after the 401 gyro. There are better gyros out there for about the same price. I use the GA250 which is a Spartan clone gyro. I do some 3D and plenty of tail slides and it holds fantastic. It is the best bang for th buck for a tail gyro. I use it on my 450 and 600. It has also proven itself to work better and more reliable than my Futaba GY520 gyro. The below link is an example. Some of them will label it as an Assan GA250.

The 401 was good for its time. That being said, there are much more advanced systems out there, and not as...bulky.

It depends on what you plan on using as a tail servo. What servo do you plan on using on the tail? Whether you use that or the 401, inhibit the gyro menu and use the gear travel adjustment to adjust your gain. The left value will be for HH and the right value is for rate mode. If you have any other questions or problems with the GA250, just let me know.

well i bought the 401. more were using that one that I read about, so now what would be a good servo to match it up with. Don't need nothing to fancy.I don't do 3d, or 6w .

If you have a link to the ebay, we can take a look at it. As far as a servo goes, you will want a good servo on the tail. I use a Futaba S9257 and it works great. If you want a cheaper servo, you can get a Align DS620 and they run around $28 on Ebay.
