I loved teh event, Im not meaning to be critical. The there really should be an AMA/IRCHA tent at the main stage. THere should also be drinking water available, for free if you wear a wristband.
And I sure hope the bbq shack comes again next year, I loved teh baked potato and bbq brisket combo. I need to try the pork and chicken next year.

Splitting the water line and providing a public spigot would have been nice this year. Maybe next year we will have one with markings to it.

in 2009 they put up a sink/ washing station. Was nice. I wouldn't drink that water, but it sure was nice to be able to wash your hands after taking a dump in a porta-potty

They should bring that back.

Yeah I was talking about a few maintained 5 gallon coolers for drinking water.
The event is kinda overwhelming and I missed most of it even though I was there.

They've done that, too. Usually by center stage. They were there by the bleachers in 2011, didnt see any in 2012.

I think you're better off buying a case of water.. 36 bottles runs about $4. Tastes better, too.

A case of water should be enough for one person for the whole event.

I did have water, I bought one huge lemonade too. But im thinking beyond myself, like the guy who got carted to the hospital for dehydration.

An event that brings in 50,000 dollars in registration deserves water, and available shade.

Available shade? Did you go to the same IRCHA I did this year? Every vendor had a tent.
I retract my spigot post.
Some people just can't take care of themselves.

Remember when Advantage Hobbies had the air conditioned tent? I would have liked to have seen that again this year.

I thought the AMA was talking about bringing electricity to the IRCHA field. Whatever happened to that idea?

The bleachers were at center stage, usually full most of the time.
On the electricity deal at site #4, that is continually talked about between IRCHA and the AMA. You have to realize that the entire AMA site only gets this kind of usage by IRCHA for one week out of the year. Not even the NATS has this type of crowd. Kinda hard to justify that kind of expense for one week.

Running power to the IRCHA field might be cost prohibitive, but how much would it cost IRCHA to rent a big diesel powered generator to provide some electricity to all of the pilots who pay for the opportunity to attend?
