Titanium turn buckle works for me. 3 cases so far and no problems yet.

The Stock height is perfect.

Cheers,
Raven

DFC

I have to agree that's not a fix. That is a standard FBL head.

DFC head implies that there is no swash follower.

Bashing implies that you disapprove for no apparent reason.

Summary: you converted a DFC head to a standard FBL head. Called it a fix instead of a conversion.

Fair enough. The change DOES make it a standard head, and THAT is the intention.

We are not bashing, just stating facts and giving options to TRex owners that like their machines, V2s or V3s, but do not "prefer" the DFC head arrangement.

DFC works just fine the way it is. You alter it, then you're asking for trouble. If you are afraid of boom strikes and your flying is harder than that of the Align Team pilots, then by all means you should stick with the original 700E FBL head setup.

I have my Nitro converted to DFC and I have the 700E DFC HV, I've had no problems, what so ever.
As long as your DFC dampeners are in good shape and your blades are tight in their grips, you should be just fine.

Cheers.

I can't prove one way or the other but seems setup will cause the boom strikes .There is a point where on a setup performance is at its max and efficient and further travels make no change but will cause binding or carnage. In my experiences so far no boom strikes and I fly pretty hard . I've read posts so I am expecting the possibility of a strike .Hope when it does its not on my turbine

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

All I wanted was to share what I did with mine. Instead of selling it I'm using it with the 3G arms And the 3G main shaft instead of the DFC.

I don't fly like the team pilot aligh, Bert, Matt, bobby. But all I wanted was peace of mine and I have it. And I didn't have to sale the head.

Hey Rick,

I like the modification you did and it is always better to be safe then sorry.

I,m happy with my 600 FBL, lucky it already had the 3G head and the Beastx when I got it. I did not have to worry about the linkage being stressed and maybe breaking or blade strikes due to the head being lower, etc...

Thank's for sharing.

I run a Align DFC head on my Raptor 90 at 1850 headspeed and 710mm blades.
So far, solid as a rock.
New dampers and the Lynx feathering shaft bolts are the only "upgrades".

The only problem I am having now, is the links are too tight in the balls on the swash.

I have a 2nd Raptor 90 running the 3G head - its nice. But it isn't as locked in as the DFC and the YS 91SR-3DS motor works harder for hard cyclic maneuvers.

Believe 1/2 of what you see and none of what you hear.
Fake News will be the downfall of our Republic!
