assemble the clutch and fan, rotate 180 if needed and put it on a high point balance and get it to balance the best you can. Maybe install the other gov magnet? Did you have both installed and one fell out?

drill tiny holes on the heavy side till it balances out.

If you need motor bearings order them from a quality bearing supplier.

RCBeeeearings.com sells sh*t quality bearings.

I remove the crank webbing from all my .50+ size motors and they run alot smoother.

I think he traded the 12S 600.
I've seen some two fiddy videos from him so it's hopeful?

I literally never use the word literally right.

You already thought of it but it does look like a break inside the fuel line tank. I had that once on my 600n. The line was slit half way in.

rilopez825,
Yeah im pulling the tank first thing tomorrow and hoping thats the issue.Im glad JWatson saying something becuse I forgot all about taking the tank ut and putting the fuel magnet in it.Right around when I took the tank out the issue started and I didn't even think about it when this started.Well I hope its the problem..

YSRRider,
Even if its a issue with the fuel tank I still plan on balancing everything but I have no clue on what tool I need ,can ya post a like for it?Not much $$ left so the cheapest one that works good would be awesome..
Like Mckrackin said,I traded me 12S 600E for the 3 helis..The deal didn't work out well as I had to put about $300.00 of money $$ in the helis so I got what I should of gotton in the first place..Im very happy wth my 250's but not with the out come...

You need some sort of high point balancer. There are a few out there for balancing airplane props and/or r/c car wheels.

He didnt send you your heli back? Did you request a trade back? I would have.

Sounds fine to me too, I don't hear anything strange.

Is it rough when you turn it over? I.e. if you turn it through by hand on the fan for instance. It should be silky smooth and with no endplay in the crankshaft or just a very little bit if the engine has a lot of time on it.

To diagnose if its grinding metal on the inside, look for a black, sooty stuff in the exhaust oil. Just hold your finger near the exhaust outlet and look at the oil that collects on your finger. Also look at the oil collecting on the pipe. The oil should be clear, but if there's a blackish residue in there, you have some rapid wear going on inside... And as you say you'd be blowing plugs too...

CX1,
Its forsure not the baffle because I put another Hatori SB19 on it and I checked the pipes too.

unclejane,
Yup,I already checked all that stuff. The bearings is all I can think of..This is my 4th YS motor and im wondering if I need to clean the regulator Assy?I mean this motor should be so rich it won't make power like it did 3 weeks ago because the needles are about 2 1/8 turns out.If I go just under 2 full turns out with the mid needle,I start getting the lean sound when it unloads.Maybe im hearing the tone of the motor changing in the video I just posted? If you turn the volume up around 4:20,you can hear the sound im talking about really good..

It seems to me that you have an air/pressure leak somewhere. Engine sounds lean even though you have the needles rich. Maybe also plugged up needle valve. Do you have a fuel filter? That could be clogged with fuel magnet foam.

bparro,
I checked the filter and even replaced the magnet when I pulled the tank, everything was clean and the tank sealed perfect..I sprayed soapy watter on the bung holes on the tank while it was running and didn't get any bubbles.Im pulling the motor tomorrow and cleaning the whole Reg and carb.

Just wondering,
I have the YS 91SR 3DS and I also have a pretty much brand new YS 91SR carb/reg assy..Do you or anyone else know if the whole carb/Reg assy is the same?

I reckon its engine related, something, bent, broken or out of line, maybe, bearing, cage, bent or damaged rod from flooding,if it was smooth once, has to be a problem if it aint so now.You noticed the difference and you know your machine.

Yeah I listened real close at around 4:20 and it sounds fine to me. I really don't think you have a problem, especially if the crank turns silky smooth by hand and there's no end play, etc. Bad bearings give a rough, kind of hollow sandpapery sound at a low idle that I don't hear on your motor. Yours sounds just like my 91 did and my 105 does now. And my 91 went about 35 hours before I pulled it to put the 105 in lol.

I still also think overall you're fine in terms of the vibes. It may have gotten a little worse because the new clutch may not be spot-on balanced, but I'd honestly just fly it as-is.

Like I said, you should see my 105 at idle, it rains against the top of the tank too. In the hover it'll foam the tank just a little bit, but no worse than the 91 did. There's no blurs on the edges of things on the machine and screws generally stay put.

I say fly the jeepers out of it as is lol...

After reading a few lines from your initial post ,I played your video.
The first thing on my mind was that this sounds like Kasama header.

And I saw below that it is a Kasama header.
That is not your problem.

Second. try to avoid RcBearing's bearings.
Cheap meat is for the dogs.
Get yourself a pair of new GOOD QUALITY Stainless Steel bearings from
SKF,FAG,Boca or NSN. Mainly I prefer Japan ones.
Some times the bearings can withstand only 6gallons.

Third. balance in a magnetic balancer (from Great Planes) fan and hub together.
Then balance the clutch's bell.
And check if your main gear is turning not elliptic.
Or to be real...it has a small movement horizontally.

Four. open a little the low rpm needle.(it may needs 10 sec to warm up or it is going to mess a little during the initial spool up) but the engine is going to run a bit more calm.
Even more cut 1mm from the one way valve's spring to get the valve more easily opening. And get your throttle low at 10%.

Five. sand a little (with your hands & sandpaper) the perimeter of the fuel tank's space to reduce foaming and fuel feeding intervals.

Finally . As described above every nitro heli has vibes.
And add some (2) big O-rings around the exhaust in the height of the tank and the black rubber pipe from Hatori. To silence the sound in your ears.

I hope I helped. Good luck .Keep us informed......

Yep I watched the update and agree that your motor innards look fine. Obviously I can't feel the bearing but for a relatively high time motor it looked nominal to me.

Since it's apart yeah may as well replace the bearings and put the fan housing + clutch on a balancer. Just to see if it's way off, and you may be able to mitigate it by rotating the clutch 180 degrees.

I don't know anything about the YS regulator either, though the one thing about regulators in general is they shouldn't leak. They should hold pressure when normally closed (i.e engine not drawing fuel), so you probably caught that along with.

I bet it'll be a lot better once put back together with the fixes...

billiano,
Man I ALWAYS bought bearings from Boca but lots of people said the ones from RCbearings are just as good but cheaper..I ordered them yesterday before posting the pic but i'll get a Boca ASAP
..
This is about all I can spend on a balancer, will it get the job done?

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...?&I=LXD712&P=ML

Yeah i'll cut a little from the spring, had to do that with the oneway on my old OS 91 with Cline carb.

I already sanded the frame down some where the rubber gos around the frame and tank slides in.

unclejane,
Yeah im changing the bearings as soon as they show up.Everything is apart so im for sure going to balance everything..5 years of flying nitros and this is the first time I had a problem like this that I can't figure out..I have has sooo many nitros and every single one ran smooth..This one ran 10000% perfect and out of the blue for no reason what so even started this vibe crap..Wish I had my wife record for me before taking it apart. The vibe is so damn bad that it looked like a bad storm with a 1/4 tank of fuel. The tank looked like I was shaking a half full 20oz pop as hard as I could.Never had to balance anything but im about to learn...I'll spin the Clutch 180 before taking anything off with the dremel.
