I know that it's anew setup but I am curious as to whether it's liked or not, and if you are flying it, what is your favorite feature, or what don't you like, about it.

I love it, replaced my 3 Vbars with them. They fly great, easy setup, great governor, and are tiny. All at a great price.

Does the 540 have...
A recovery system, or is that just on the 720? What about multiple blades 4,5 as in a scale app?

It has both Electric (also phase sensor support) and Nitro governors. Yes you just plug in satellites and it’s also supports Futaba Sbus. That’s becoming the standard for flybarless controllers these days.

Also has Quadcopter support same as the 720.
I have no plans to get into quads at the moment...but then again, you never know. If I get bored some day, it's nice to know the possibility is at hand. For that, I'd probably go with the 720 and upcomming GPS though.
Pretty versitile little units.

Somehow I doubt that people are buying this for quads when you can get a dedicated quad controller like the DJI Naza for the same price, and others Like the Copter Control for less than half, that absolutely kills it on quad specific features.

I have used a 720 on a quad and it works great. I would expect that the 540 would fly exactly the same. The only thing I had to tune was the Yaw. I had to crank up the gain because it felt sloppy but after that it is just as good as the best dedicated multi-rotor controllers. It’s easy to give it a try.

the SK540 and SK720 are setup the same way with the same settings and using the same software, just watch the SK720 setup videos and you'll be fine.......
