Hey guys, so i've been out of the hobby for awhile and have been dying to get back into it, and a lot has changed in just the past 3 years!

I have owned a little of everything in the past and settled on one of these cool new Century Radikal E640's Flybarless.

I want the most insane 700 class power set-up in it and have narrowed to these choices.

Any input?

if you want the most insane get ahold of Tim Jones motor in the BEAST! might have to fight him for it tho! lol but the 4525-520le is a good one. or kde but that motor is kinda heavy

Any of those motors will be insane in a 600 sized airframe! Remember the bigger the motor the bigger the batteries and esc and the whole heli gets very heavy and defeats the point of all that power!

Which ever motor you choose you wont need more than an 80hv esc.

+1 on the Quantum 4530. I bought one for my 700HV after watching Bobby Smith fly it in his 7HV. Just a rediculous motor. Since you are doing a 640 instead of a 700 you may want to look at the next size down Quantum. It will save you some money and weight since you don't have the big blades. The smaller Quantum made good power in a 700 so in a 640 it'd be a monster. You want to be careful about making it into a powerful but heavy as a brick heli as they are not the best flying machines.

Hmmm.. Good thoughts, and yes this is a 'inbetween' heli, between a 600 and a 700 class heli, planning on running 12s 3850mah packs to keep weight down as compared to a 5000mah 700 set-up.

You will not be able to fit any of the 45mm motors. The frame set is just wide enough for a 40mm. I used an Align 700MX-510 in the E640 I built and had to clearence the frame brace behind the motor.

Richardmid1 is right, any one of those motors will be "Insane," so save yourself some money and get a Xera 4030 It may strip gears, keep that it mind also.

So you've allready bought this Century heli? Read what Danny states, and btw there are many better choices.

If you're going to fly balls out 80hv would be cutting it on the light side IMO especially if you are ever dealing with some warm ambient as well.

The Quantum 4135-530, Xera 4035/2.5Y-480, Scorpion 4035-530 or the Align 700MX will all provide ample power for a 640mm bladed heli.
You can get the Quantum and Align motors for (about $180) less than the others.

F1 Rocket, you physically tried to fit one of the 45mm motors into the Radikal?

And I will be using the Ice2 120hv

If it were me ide use a 600 size motor, use 12s 3000, 640 blades governed to around 2200 geared to around 15% overhead, i.e. a max of 2530 rpm.

60% of the time, it works every time!

Inside frame width on the E640 is 53mm. Scorpion 4525 is almost 57mm in diameter. Simple math As you can see, the 700MX is a very tight fit.

I do have the high power helical gear set for it.

Looks like I will stick with the 700mx or 4035 set-up
