I just ordered my Logo XXtreme and I am thrilled!

Just thought I would see if there is any news regarding setup procedures, parts, etc.?

I did see that video on making sure the tail drive gear mesh is correct and I guess I'm just wondering if there are any other tips like that out there?

I can't wait!!

I know the questions are begging to be answered (-:

Patience (-: When you get the model, in the box will be instructions on registering your machine with Mikado, and that will allow you to access an "XXtreme owners only" forum at http://www.vstabi.info/en/forum

The XXtreme section won't even appear when you go to the site, until you register and log-in. But once there, any questions you've got has most likely already been discussed thoroughly by existing XXtreme owners, with comments and help by the staff at Mikado.

When it comes to getting help if needed with the XXtreme, there's no better source.

Any 'any-heli only' forum that requires you to first buy it, then register it before you have any access to it is not a good idea imho.

If Mikado wants to only allow 'posting' in these threads to registered owners, that fine since it may help eliminate a lot of useless questions. However, many potential customers would like to be able to see potential problems/solutions and how Mikado responds to these, before they buy.

Does this mean there is going to be a 'Logo700 Only Forum' as well???

Cheers,
TomC

"is not a good idea"

Actually it has been a huge success...because,

It is the most direct and accurate way to obtain info on your model, and the site is administered and contributed to by the staff of Mikado. And this is important: ALL the content is from guys how actually own and fly the machine, and have a vested interest in getting problems and questions solved.

What you don't have on the site is the useless contributions of opinions offered by people who've never owned of flown an XXtreme, never intend to own one, but who feel they just have to give their opinion on what they think of the machine, or promote an alternate agenda.

It's quite refreshing to be able to go the the site and ask questions, detail your issues, or offer advise/experience, knowing that the whole community there is "on your side", and not trolling waiting for the opportunity to spout something off.

But as for your concern, "...many potential customers would like to be able to see potential problems/solutions..."

There is still plenty of information shared on the "regular forums". There is not one issue on the XXtreme forum that hasn't been discussed at length as well on the RR and HF forums. You just have to deal with the way the "regular forums" are in the process.

Mikado 700 forum? I hope so (-:

Dave,

I understand what you are saying and I agree that it's not a bad idea to restrict 'posting' to registered owners. However, I still believe that access to 'view' this forum should be open to all. This is a real 'turn off' for me and I imagine others (incl other model Mikado owners) will feel the same way.

Cheers,
TomC

I like the fact that only extreme owners can post to the site. There is entirely too much heresay in this hobby. It would be nice to view it though.

Nope, not here. I think it's a *great* idea. Keeps all the trolls and naysayers out which don't ever own the heli. It's not like the XXtreme is plagued with hundreds of issues and they are keeping you in the dark until you put down the cash. I want a XXtreme even more now hearing about the exclusive forum, oh boy!

Some people just don't like being "excluded" and will always get offended. So be it...

The owners only forum is perfectly fine. For non Xxtreme owners, all the information you need to know is already availible here on the forums. It is not like the heli is problematic to where direct support from Mikado is absolutely needed.

Either way I am happy with Mikado and the support they provide.

I look forward to discussion on the XXtreme here and on the Mikado forum.

Keep in mind that, many XXtreme owners that may post on the owners forum will more than likely post that info here as well. It's not like there are going to be secrets about that machine or something lol.

Why not let everyone view the Xxtreme forum , but restrict the posts to owners only.

that seems like a reasonable idea, that way people on the fence about whether or not to get one could get information from the best source without clouding it up.

In the kit there is a yellow page in the packet with the key chain that explains the process.

Very simple to do actually, just register with the site, send an email with the Xxtreme version Vbar serial number and ask to be added. After this it took me about 24 hours but the Xxtreme forum will appear when you log in.
