I don't know why I have such an affinity for these things. I must be going through my mid life evolution. Im stuck in a particular time frame where a machine with huge parts counts and crash costs is the machine i want to build and fly. I just bought a new never assembled tempest 3d. I believe it is an 8.18 ratio which I believe will be able to handle ys 120. Has anyone stuffed this engine into this thing? Or would I be better suited to put in the 3ds? I'm going to leave the flybar on it for now. But It will have the tempest head so it should not be too bad to convert later on, as it has a good amount of the conversion parts on it already.
Let me know what you guys think about the motor issues.

if the dimensions of the 120 are the same as the regular 91's then its very much possible, maybe the only problem i would guess would be the pinion/gear ratio. I'm quite sure MA have a varied selection of pinions.

!boo!

The manual for the 120 says gear ratios of 7.5:1 to 8.2:1. It fits within the range what I don't know is if it likes the high end or the low end of the range. I don't know how many people are running the 120 yet seeing as it has a 500 plus dollar cost.
