Can anyone help?

I used the blue dampners and noticed at idle 2 (1950) the heli wobbles alot, at idle 1 (1850) it's not noticeable. I changed the dmpners to the clear and it looks to have gotten alot better but still there.

I have also rebuilt the head a couple of times to verify everything was correct.

Video, not very good but maybe you can see it.

Did you grease the dampers and how tight are you running your blades?

Guess I should also point out I had probably 2 gallons on the blue dampners before switching to the clear, I thought they might need breaking in.

Man your quick

I did grease them in trying to trouble shoot.
I run the blades pretty tight. I notice in another post this may be an issue? How tight is too tight?

Not to sure, I run my blades pretty tight but don't have any wobble.

I've seen others run them tight and have a wobble, it was gone after loosening them up slightly.

Try that out and let me know. If need be I have some other things we can check.

What cyclic servos are you running? also what fbl unit are you using?,if your using the v-bar,where on cyclic gain are you? usually if you don't have a wobble at low rpm and have a wobble at high rpm your cyclic gain is to high!.

Sorry...

CGY750 with BLS255 at 7.4v
OS .91 Speed 3D

I have tried various 750 changes as well including the head response and d-gain.

The only change that had a noticeable effect was the dampners so far so I believe it to be in the grips/head.

I setup a friend's Whip with an OS105 last weekend and ran into two issues:

1) The fan hub was slipping on the crank shaft. I had to re-tighten the pinch bolts under the fan just to get it to stop temporarily. MA is sending him a new fan hub. There is also a post on this same issue here on RR somewhere, but IDK if the dude solved it.

2) We had issues with keeping a constant supply of fuel to the motor. I have that fixed and now I have to tune the motor.

The entire heli was shaking as if the main rotor head was out balance or the main rotor was oscillating. I couldn't tell in your video if yours was shaking the same way. Basically I came to the conclusion that it was the 750 as the shaking was intermittent. At 1850-1950rpm the shakes were more frequent. At 2000-2050 it was mostly smooth but it would intermittently show up in a hover. RR member Fly X Cell was explaining to me how the 750 reacts to vibrations and how it causes these shakes. If you suspect the head/grips, check it. If it's not that, my suggestion is to reduce the amount of vibrations in the heli and get the motor tuned right. If there are still shakes, play with different sensor mounting methods.

I'll let you know how the Whiplash with the OS105 comes along.

same issue, heli wobbles @ 1950 and 2050 intermittently, tried lowering the gain on pot one and it is manageable now but still annoying.

I had the same issue with the wobble. Hi headspeeds it was less noticeable. The Heli really got the shakes up at low headspeeds.I was running maverick G5 blades. Tried a set of edge blades and it didn't wobble at low head speeds but really wobbled at hi headspeeds. I put it down to the hard dampeners. I was running the cgy 750 and tried everything to fix it. Ended up swapping to vbar and the problem is almost gone. If you sit hovering for about 30 secs the wobble does come back but very slightly.

Make sure you have applied the grease to both where the dampers fit into the headblock and also where the feathering spindle goes through the dampers. I have seen this wobble even when greased on my nitro whippy and it was that I hadn't greased everything effectively enough. I pulled it apart added more grease to each area and it was fine from then on.

Considering all the models sold, I don't see much "wobble talk" but whatever the issue may be is being addressed here with the full support of our company.

For what it's worth, that shimmering behavior in the AIL axis is surely the CGY 750 and not the machine. My trex's did this absolutely exact behavior when I had the 750 on them - I was able to finally dial out the shimmer by upping the head response on mine, but what will work in other cases is anyone's guess (the 1.2 firmware has major problems with wobbles and shimmies).

I would definitely try it NOBAR and see what happens (just turn the gains down to 0 in the transmitter if you have the 8FG, else just turn them down on the menus in the unit), It'd be almost certain that it would go away. Then try a different FBL unit like the Beast or Vbar that doesn't have this particular trouble.

My mouse is hovering over the Whippy "add to cart" button as we speak. I doubt the machine itself is much to worry about in terms of wobble...

It's the 1.2 firmware in the 750...hope 1.3 is on its way soon.

I believe it is the CGY750s firmware. We have two of the 750s on the same model at my field, one with the old software and one with the new. The new has the shakes and the older is silky smooth. Just saying.
