I'm pretty sure ALIGN will come out a new 600 gaseer with a big fan.
because the 600 nitro is now fully upgraded it's no sense a new Super Limited Edition V3 they have to design something new.

I can't see this engine not coming to market now

I reckon getting Walbro involved would have been a big decision not taken lightly.

And with the release of the OS GT-22, the lessons learned should be easily transferred to a slightly different form factor.

Here's hoping a heli manufacturer gets involved though to give us a purpose selected airframe so the GT15HZ gets some serious market penetration.

I'm really curious...

What are any of you that want this engine in a 600 or 700 size expecting from it with flight performance or flying style?

beginner? AP? sport? FAI? 3D? Smack?

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

So explain to me how it is that this 15cc claims 2.8hp at 14,000rpm when OS also has a much larger 22cc gas engine that makes 2.6hp at 9,000rpm....any clue?

these numbers for the OS 15cc just don't jive.

RM3

Look at the rpm they are running at. The 15cc is spinning faster than the 22cc. The 22cc rpm would be good for airplane use because of the prop tip speed and not needing high rpms. The 15cc is spinning higher rpms because of a smaller displacement. Think of the 4 cylinder Honda motor when fully tweaked. It will make 500 hp naturally aspirated but has to do it at the 10,000 rpm range. A big block 8 cylinder will do it at way less rpm. That is the closest i can think as a quick comparison for you.

I'm expecting it to perform at least as good as an OS 55 Hpyer for hard 3D. If it can't do that I don't want it. I'm not interested in just cruising around.

And the reason that idea appeals to me is because Nitro is too expensive. I could see it being double the cost of gas but not 10 times the price of gas.

I can order to my door Cool power by the case for 37.62 a gallon including the 27.50 ridiculous hazmat fee. That's almost 11 times the cost of over priced gasoline.

If its fixed don't break it.

And the claim for the OS15cc is 3.1 HP per CI. In such a small, air cooled engine, I'm a skeptic. But I can't say it's impossible.

this engine doesn't have the usual vibration issues that have to be accounted for in the larger displacement motors

Just want if to sport fly. That is all I can do, and that not very well. I'm hoping this engine is all that and a bag of chips.

Jimmy, If it looks like a heli I like it.

YES it's a Walbro carb and the price should be under $420 without muffler
but I do expect nothing from TOWER MONOPOLIES.

I'm just starting to post some details on GPT about this, I've been testing one here in the US since about June

made by OS in Japan, uses needle bearings on the connecting rod, bigger tolerances for increased heat, Walbro pumped carburetor
