Bell Cobra AH1S
Hi,

the 1. fuselage was from Starwood Helicopter USA,

But I do not know if the fuselage is available now from Starwood, because the Website is off. Al Wert has died.

Now I have made my own Cobras with the same size like the Starwood Cobra. The whole helicopter is made by myself. Also the Main Blades for about 800 RPM. The weight of the full loaded model is about 8,5 Kg

Now I am beginning the third Cobra for 12 S Lipo.

On the pictures you see the first Cobra with the own fuselage for flight tests. On the last picture the same model with the older Main Blades. The Blades have an airfoil for low RPM.

On the last picture you can see the difference between small and wide Main Blades

Bell Cobra AH1S
Hi Dr. Tim

the Scale Blades on my Cobra fly very well. The cobra flies without flybarless electronic. I only have a gyro for the tailrotor. The Blades are also ok if there is much of wind during flying. The great advantage on that Bladeprofile is to fly low RPM,so the blade, which is against the wind has not to much lift. I can fly with the Cobra loops and rolls. The mechanics in this cobra is carbon

Hi Barry,

in the Cobra is my own mechanic. I have made them of CFK because of the weight. The Motor is a 450 KV for 12 s Lipo and the RPM is about 11000 RPM. The mechanic with the servos and receiver inside is mounted on two CFK stringers.Only two CFK stringers are in the fuselage because of the weight ! So the Cobra is easy for that size an so on I can fly with the Cobra loopings and rolls with about 800 rounds on the main Blades. Gerd
