To get the nitro gov spoolup problems fixed with 5.2 and 5.3 it is recommended to use the combined mode - and not the "2 channel" mode - even with sats and SBus (enabled since PC soft 5.2.5)

You are obviously stirring the pot here.
Ive run it across all versions without issue.
If you want to run it in normal then go to combined mode, instead of 2 channel or buy a multi gov.
A dozen of us running it this weekend with 5.2 without issue as usual.

I agree panzlflyer. With work-arounds using combined mode or expert mode this is not a big issue. I would like to see it addressed, but it is no show stopper.

A show stopper is what Futaba has with the difficulty in using their CGY750 governor on electric helis.

Spooling up and trying to take off in Idle up like an Electric is the issue.
If you spool up to hovering speed like it was designed to do and then go idle up its fine.... or dont govern normal..... or use combined mode ...... its fine

Just test it with out the main blades. The majority of the revision appears to be on the rotor head operation.

Mr Mel's v-bar 101 videos has you setup the governor with the 2 channel method. What exactly is the problem with this?

so if 5.3 is the same as 5.2 i'd say that's a no ???
Vbar 5.2.5 was released on April 5th and according to the VStabi website addressed this issue. This version had the following features:
The PC software 5.2.5 has been improved against the previous version in the following points:
- adjustable runup speed for e-governor
- extended combined mode (nitro) for soft spoolup
- added Bailout mode in nitro governor

The extension of the combined mode to be used with Sats, Single Line and SBus is a further big step here. This will allow us to use the VBar internal (faster) throttle curve in flight and also provide a soft spoolup from idle and a Bailout from an enhanced idle value.

To use this mode please redo the governer setup and follow the steps carefully. Write down already flown out values and gear ratio previously for later usage of course.
So yes it is fixed from 5.2.5

I have tried several times to get it works with 5.2.5 but never succeeded with this.

I take back 5.1 again in my VBar which works best (so far.........)

If you have a nitro, set it up in combined mode or transition from normal mode to idle up like everyone else did before governors. If set up properly there is no issue.
Normal mode should never be governed with nitro or electric. The very nature of a governor is to look for a "solid" signal from the rx so that can be translated into a specific head speed. When in normal mode, the throttle curves are always moving so a governor has a particularly hard time keeping up.
I have had Norris on every version starting wih 5.1 and never had an issue because I used the setup as it was intended.......Ron

Get to chopper I guess it hasn't been asked..

What specific problems are (YOU) having with (YOUR) vbar? Please make a post about your specific vbar and issues you feel you are having so the community can assist you. I am assuming from your anger and continued rants that you must own one and having some difficulty of some sort???

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

anger and continued rants
Dude what in the world are you smoking ??? i just asked one simple question and i'm NOT angry in the least bit as i have nothing to be angery about, oh and please point out one of my posts that you conister to be one of my so called "rants" please, your post has got to be one of the most misguided and defensive reactions i've encountered to date !

you really should maybe take it down a notch.......
What specific problems are (YOU) having with (YOUR) vbar
i obviously see where your trying to go with that question so let me ask you this, must i be encountering "specific problems" or even own a a v-bar to be allowed to ask a question ???
