Hey I'm ready, this morning the golf course behind my house was like a lake and if my floats would have been done I would have flown off it. Anyway they are ready now. I had to fill my bath tub and set the CG before bolting the floats on. My rubber ducky wasn't to happy about it and the bubbles got in the way but After dinner I got the floats on and I flew it out over the golf course and it did fine. While on the water there are two things that are different than a take off the ground that I will have to watch out for. One is you can't have any negative pitch or it will push down and it will be a disaster if the tail touches the water. Second is you have to be ready for major torque and be ready to counter act for it. The floats on the grass had some torque but I will be ready for it. I hope to have some pictures of it flying off the water.

I just finished reading "the last chapter of whats the use/ or how to fly Helicopters"

Wow
Wow I can't believe how fast the field drained and dried out.
It went from standing water yesterday to dry parking lot and pits today.
The drain system that we put in works great.

Saturday in the park...
The breeze was a little cool, and although it started out with beautiful blue skies, it did eventually turn gray and cloudy. But, we still got some flying done nonetheless!

We had a visitor today, named Greg, from all the way up in Maryville, MO. who came down to check out our field and do some flying with us. Greg is still learning to fly but we helped him out with some buddy box time and some setup tweaks for his new SAB Goblin 500! Greg allowed Nader a chance to fly it to make sure the new tweaks were working as intended. Of course, he didn't fly Greg's Goblin as hard as he flies his own Trex 700, but it was still cool to see the Goblin in action.

Lataz, y'all!

The new motor is running sweetly, Sean, so are your flying skills.

I enjoyed the weekend also...next week I have to work for my son for a few days at least.

Never thought my son would be giving me helicopter money!

Not an outstanding week-end for me:
- Basement got flooded
- My gasser still did not fly
- I crashed my TRex 450
- My prototype video camera shot crappy videos that are not worth posting

Now for the positive: I sold my Blade 450X!

Have a good week and I will see you at our fun fly on Saturday!

You will be all good to go at the funfly Sean.

I am sorry I didn't know about your basement Pascal. I had a shop vac in my truck at the field as well. ):

My son took some pics of my multicopter tonight. I flew it for 10 minutes. 30 seconds too long lol. The battery was at 17%

Have fun while it last!

Pascal, sorry about your week hope you get all things fixed real soon.
I didn't have a good day at the Paola float fly. My Heli didn't take off from the water and turned into a submarine lucky it was only two foot deep. Got it out and got all the electronics cleaned up and when I got home washed the electronics in Acetone. Hope it will be OK. The torque from the main blades even at 0 pitch was just to much and basically it did a piro. You see these guys take off with nitro helis and they start a 2 degrees negative pitch and slowly start up but with electric helis we have the "slow start" that runs up to quick to 70% throttle. So If I would ever try this again and I won't, I would have to set up things in the radio differently. Now I know! See you all next week.

Sorry about that Oppie! I think we all were looking forward to some great pictures of your water heli and not that way!!

Looking to see you at the fun fly. I don't know, if you look at the weather you may want to keep your floats on.

Have fun while it last!

Well Pascal and Opie sorry to here about your troubles.
Maybe it was a good thing I didn't try and fly this weekend.
